    Will anyone ever beat it?

As usual, an American has to show the French what a victory is.

malheureusement, oui, un americain doit les montrer un victoire.

it's funny, everyone thinks he was the greatest rider who ever lived. Everyone seems to forget Eddie Merckx - 'The Cannibal'-who won 525 races in his lifetime, the Tour de France, Giro d'Italia, and World Championship in one year (1974), and even won a Tour de France in all categories (yellow-overall, green-sprinter, polka-dot- climber). As great a rider as Lance was, no one will ever be BETTER THAN EDDIE.

They were both great, but achieved different things. It's hard to know who the "greatest of all time" is at anything - at the end of the day you can only be better than the other people around at the time, how good your team is etc..

Winning it 7 times is an amazing achievement and probably recognised even more because he did it after coming back from such severe illnes.

Downunder we've been treated to daily live coverage - this makes a change for us! - the scenery was beautiful, the race was a true specatcle full of drama, and the commentary we received (the English version) was both expert and informative.

For me in hospital, it sure helped my recovery!

I'm no expert on cycling, but Lance Armstrong sure was a towering presence.

    Great, great stuff!
