Why is it, that when ever there is a war, the liberal part of society seems to always side with the enemies of our nation?
Just saw a saw some old footage of Jane Fonda in Vietnam, and spent the afternoon listening to a talk show on the radio while I painted and this just seems like the way it is. Why is that?
Side with the enemy? I hope you aren't assuming that liberal society is supporting the killing of innocent people and the use of fear to get themselves recognized? I'm going to wait for you to explain before I totally rebut this wild claim.
Well, as I watched Jane Fonda in this old footage stand with the North Vietnam people, I can not help but think ... siding with the enemy. I also listen to all these people who seem to side with Terrorism in their, "we just need to understand them more," talk and this, "stop the war" protest? Isn't that what they want us to do, stop fighting them? Seems like supporting the wrong side to me. Just wondering why the extreme liberals take this side, when it seems like a person who loves peace would choose a neutral stance and not one that puts them on the side of another violent person ... since they do seem to see Bush and the USA as violent. Maybe I listened to to many talk shows today and just needed to vent.
Actually, I like Michael Savage, not RUSH though ... although I do like RUSH the band. I don't remember the name of who I was listening too. He was more harsh the Savage though. Not the normal, as I normally listen to Savage during the week from time to time and I don't think this guy is the one. Is my comment hurting people's feelings or something. It is a obervation based on something I saw and heard. I just had to ask, is this site real liberal? I did not know. I will be more careful with my questions when I show up again in 4-6 weeks. I just thought it was worth asking ... and saw nothing wrong with it.
Lol well that's alright that you needed to vent, but claiming that they have sided with the terrorists are going a little far. Claiming that the terrorists wants the war to stop is a pretty bold claim. Most of their recruitments come from histeria from the news. Disaffected youth formulate from political and social tensions that this war is fueling. So using a form of reasoning that is more speculative and not evidence-ridden can support your claim that they want the war to stop and my claim that they want the war to continue in order to recruit more people.
Assuming can be a dangerous thing, and can bring tensions and oppression between groups who would otherwise live pretty well if they fully understood their side. Not saying you're on this sort of road to oppression but that sort of reasoning as a society breeds intolerance.
Me personally, I would have liked the war to stop when we got their, because mainly terrorists weren't in Iraq as much as Bush would have wanted us to think they were, and two they just didn't have WMDs. If he is going now as a humanitarian effort (which he finally concluded way after we went in) he should be working on saving any number of countries in Africa, many more distraught lives there than Iraq. But hey we can't leave now that would be total hell.
And shouldn't this be in the political forum? Ah well.

I hate the war in Iraq!!!! I wish it never happened. Although now, I don't think we can pull out and leave the mess and that sucks. Although, I think for the most part terrorist are breeding hatred throughout the Middle East and in time, Iraq would have had to have been handled. I just worry that we will hit Iran next, and that means more lives and I want our troops to know that I support them and not those who oppose them. I may not fully agree with the cause, but I would never stand with the enemies of my nation. Here is something I was reading on CNN tonight, minutes ago, and I thought it was interesting. Rev. Jesse Jackson issues a word of support to the President of Venesula ... the same man Pat (the goof) Robertson asked to be killed. Well as much as I thought what Mr. Robertson was lame, I must also say the same for liberal Jackson. The President of Venesula is a good friend with Cuba and has expressed a strong dislike for the USA ... except for our purchase power with the feul he sends us. Please send more, gas is to high.
Freetobeme, I agree inpart with what you have said ,l was in Vietnam when that bitch went north and supported them, you can't take it any other way, she was supporting them, The president of Vietnam on t.v. some few months back and mentioned that the war protesters were a help to their cause, they seen the protesters as supporting their stand and it motivated them to more and more try and wage war against us. And the more protesting done was even more ammunition for them.
As far as Iraq is concerned, two different administrtions Clinton's and Bush's thought along with the United Nations that Iraq possessed WMD's, evidence was there to support it. The Congress voted for the war even Kerry. so say the man "Bush" lied about it is bulls((t. I believe they had them and moved what little they had in Syria (not are staunchest ally) Where they are being kept. Terrorist come from Their "Syria" and what have they done to prevent it? (nothing I think) We do have to remember that we have the right to our own opinions, but shouting fire in a public is what I equate what Jane Fonda done is treasonous to our country and she should have been prosecuted for it in my opinion.
So protesters you are hurting are servicemen in Iraq, I have a nephew serving there now on his second tour and he mentions in emails about why are the protesters supporkting the terrorists, believe me folks they don't like it.
I myself did 3 1/2 years in combat roles in Vietnam, The protesters to me were traitors and were people that were doing their best to support the enemy that was trying to kill us. Remeber when you protest and say get out you are futhering the cause of the enemy. Just my .02
