I frequently use Yahoo Messenger to talk to my colleagues in India.
Voice over IP is going to be the future of telephone. It will be interesting to see how things pan out.

I use VOIP as my only home phone now. The sound quality and full duplex is excellent at this point. I regularly talk to family in Alaska and there is just the very slightest bit of a delay. Much better quality than using a cell phone.
