Since gas costs so much, and people are mad, someone had an idea to get even with the garage stations who he thinks is screwing poeple with high gas prices. I just saw this on the news on TV here in Quebec.

He invites people to go and put only a few cents of gas in their car. So just now on the news, I saw a man puting 6 cents of gas and he screwed his cap back on, and went inside the garage to pay...lol

I don' t know if this is to give more work to the garage station, or just to make long line ups with people only puting a few cents of gas in their gas tank, but it's an original idea....

Oh yeah, he took his time and cleaned all of his windows before leaving the garage....

    A GOOD customer?

LOL That is very funny. I don't put gas at the pricier places. When I absolutely have to, I only put a dollar in my tank just to ensure I get to the least expensive station.

I'm not really sure that the avergare gas station is making a killing, unlike the gas companies themselves. If I owned a gas station I would post the price for gas alone and a seperate price for the gasoline taxes. I think people would be shocked if they knew how much of today's price is actual city, county, state and federal taxes.

funny... but I don't think the local gas station has anything to do with the price. The companies that drill the oil, refine the gasoline and deliver the gasoline control the price.

If you don't want to pay the prices being charged for a product, either stop using the product or find a cheaper supplier.

If demand drops, the price will go down. People tying up the system with 6-cent purchases can only push the price up.

Us bikers can't get a lot of "gas" in the tank so we already do this - and we always check our tyre pressure.

Having said this, my first moped used to take 2 pounds to fill up the tank 17 years ago - currently a full tank is 12 pounds.
