How is "Spiritual Israel" bound up in error?

    Sorry Guys - I have my double vision tonight, so you need to read the relavant bits in:

    Romans 11: 1,2;

    Romans 11: 7 - 10.

    Romans 11: 25 - 31.

    I Used the American RSV. But if this doctrinal statement by ST Paul applies only to the WTS after 1919, it makes ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE AT ALL!!!!!

    How were Da Judge and other WTS representatives "hardened" after the alleged date, and how are they "enemies" of others putting faith in Christ?

    The verses mentioned imply that others putting faith in Christ would gain salvation APART from those (Spiritual Israel) trapped in error. Who are these ones. - So WHO takes the emblems at the Spring Rejection Fest?

    If this applies to the WTS : IF they are trapped in error as that spiritual nation, how can they be preaching a gospel of life giving truth since the early 20 cent.?

    Using the WTS interpretation as a Spiritual Israel makes a nonsense of the other passages in the NT relating to this.

    Actually the new Catechism of the RC church makes far more sense on this.

    Why didn't I see when i was in da WT Lie? These scriptures shoot holes through the WT 1919 doctrines.

    Romans 11:1-2 (HCSB)

    1 I ask, then, has God rejected His people? Absolutely not! For I too am an Israelite, a descendant of Abraham, from the tribe of Benjamin.

    2 God has not rejected His people whom He foreknew. Or do you not know what the Scripture says in the Elijah section—how he pleads with God against Israel?

    Romans 11:7-10 (HCSB)

    7 What then? Israel did not find what it was looking for, but the elect did find it. The rest were hardened,

    8 as it is written: God gave them a spirit of stupor, eyes that cannot see and ears that cannot hear, to this day.

    9 And David says: Let their feasting become a snare and a trap, a pitfall and a retribution to them.

    10 Let their eyes be darkened so they cannot see, and their backs be bent continually.

    Romans 11:25-31 (HCSB)

    25 So that you will not be conceited, brothers, I do not want you to be unaware of this secret: a partial hardening has come to Israel until the full number of the Gentiles has come in.

    26 And in this way all Israel will be saved, as it is written: The Liberator will come from Zion;
    He will turn away godlessness from Jacob.

    27 And this will be My covenant with them, when I take away their sins.

    28 Regarding the gospel, they are enemies for your advantage, but regarding election, they are loved because of their forefathers,

    29 since God’s gracious gifts and calling are irrevocable.

    30 As you once disobeyed God, but now have received mercy through their disobedience,

    31 so they too have now disobeyed, [resulting]in mercy to you, so that they also now may receive mercy.
