So how's the weekend going? Here downunder we're almost into tomorrow - y'see the aussies always were ahead of the world!!

Nah, you don't believe me, do you?

OK, let's cut to the chase - the question this weekend is:

What did you talk about on the way home from the meeting?

1. The fine spiritual food we'd received.

2. The poor spiritual food we'd received.

3. Kids, we'll be home soon!

4. Who wants McDonalds?

5. That elder sure is a jerk!

6. Sister so-and-so was at it again tonight.

7. Did you see what she was wearing????

8. I wonder if it's really true that it happened in 1914?

9. Can you imagine it that all these houses we're passing are gonna be destroyed?

10. The elders are coming round for a shepherding call this weekend.

11. Why don't the elders visit us?

13. What's for supper?

14. I don't get it!

15. Now, are you "reaching out" for "privileges"?

Too often, sometimes more that the food was poorly prepared, like taking a fine cut of steak and burning it into shoe leather.

Never, just the people.

Only if I had asked for 5 times and insisted. Usually it was my ruse for "what Bible scripture were you applying when you did this?" session. Submissively with a meek voice though.

Probably because of #10.

We almost always went out.

I got it all right, just didn't agree or see where the Bible applied.

Never, privileges = chores the elders are too proud to do.

I remember some sisters talking about this only the slant was "when the end comes, this is going to be my house." Sick and sad, sick and sad. However my mom (if we were without other JWs) would always say something like, "Remington Steel is on in 20 minutes...we have to get home fast."

(on Tuesday nights its, I wonder if there is a new Law and Order on tonight) during Laker season its wonder how the game is going ( I missed one of the best games ever the season before last when Fisher made that lost shot, I sitll haven't been able to get over the fact that I missed that game...darn the bookstudy!)
