ITs me again, and its time for our semi-weekly installment of "Richie's Life".
We'll start off with the homefront
My father had gaulbladder removal surgery yesterday and a CAT scan also found that he has something involving colon polyps. He's ok now, though... Just enjoying his "happy" pills...
Mom is taking a business trip to NJ later on this month... So that gives me 2 days of freedom....
On The School page:
I just found out I'm 3rd in my class, and 4th in the school. I also submitted my name to be a speaker at graduation.
I recieved 2 days of lunch detention for walking to the gym locker room with no shirt on. Pish posh.
At the Kingdom Hall:
I have a "friend" whos sister and husband just graduated from Gilead last weekend. He took plenty of pictures, including some with the Governing body- including the new members.... So as soon as my fat little paws are wrapped around those... You guys will have em... (FYI- Teddy Jaracz had a bit of a cold, and Carey Barber was asleep for most of the talks...)
AND NOW : WORK!!!
I have several situations with my employees trying to stage a "chicken coup de tat" to overthrow myself and another manager. The big boss basically made us back off of them, which stripped us of our power. Last night, I went in despite the fact that my father had just had surgery.
The General Manager (my boss) was there, and he watched as basically, a couple of employees treated me with EXTREME disrespect. I asked him about it, and he said it was "too bad." He left shortly thereafter, and I called home to check on my father, and my mother told me that she had just called and my boss had answered it, and although she told him it was important, he told her I couldn't answer the phone because I was busy.
Well, I wasn't busy, and other employees had been taking personal calls about silly things all night, even when we were busy...
That was the last straw. I covered my butt as far as tasks went, wrote my Resignation letter, removed my uniform shirt, and slipped out the back door...
According to the call I just got, they were there until 330 AM.
The boss, always the diplomat, said, "I understand, but we're still homies right?".
I told him I'd always have an open heart, and extended middle finger for him...
