Last summer I shot my first film. I wrote it for school and then decided, "what the hell" I might as well make it over the summer. Well after much waiting I received an e-mail from Out Takes Dallas (the Dallas Gay and Lesbian Film Festival) that my film was accepted. I haven't been able to show my mom because I know she would find the material "objectionable". Although it is just a simple romantic comedy. Well I was so excited, I called her and let her know that it was accepted. I also told her that I'm waiting to hear from some fests in her area. With that she said "let me know if they take it and when it is playing". Wow! Not what I would expect out of my JW mom. Now I just gotta keep my fingers crossed and hope they take it. :-D
YAY! Looks like my mom is making improvements.
