Saturday I watched both the Minnesota-Michigan game and of course the OSU-Penn State game, as well as bits and pieces of the about 50 or so other college games that were being broadcast on various channels. Then I watched "Buckeye Football Fever" - a postgame show that airs on a local TV station.

Sunday morning I watched the highlights from the OSU game twice, as well as a "Buckeye Football Weekly" show where they talk about the game with the coach, do player profiles, etc. I don't know if any other college team gets as much media attention in their respective area as the Buckeyes do here in central Ohio, it's something else! And I watch all of it!

Sunday afternoon and it's onto the pro games. Watched most of the Browns-Bears game, then all of the Bengals-Jaguars game.

Today on the way to work I'm tuned into the sports station where they're discussing the college and pro games from the weekend.

Then, after work, I'm tuned into the same station again listening to a local show where much of the focus is on the Buckeyes once again.

Now I'm watching "Monday Night Countdown" on ESPN, and I'll probably tune into tonight's Chargers-Steelers game.

I need to get out more....

I don't really like the NFL (goes too slowly). CFL is great. NHL is the best.

Now, NASCAR is utterly stupid... I mean, they're going around in circles people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Any sort of Rally is fine however, but I wouldn't watch it.

Now, I really can't stand watching baseball, not b/c I don't liket the sport, but because it always prempts my favourite shows.

You're not the only one. Friday nights - watch my son play in both the JV and varsity games. Saturday, watch either the Illini or NIU play. Sunday, watch da Bears (loose). Monday night, well, I'm watching the game right now. Dam I love this time of year!

Compared to other sports, the season is pretty short, and the games only come on the weekends for the most part so it's not hard to see every single game your favorite team plays. I think those are the two main reasons why it's so easy to become totally immersed in it. I always do, in spite of myself.

I stated above how much media attention the Buckeyes get around here...well, LOL....the teaser for the 11:00 news that they ran during the commercial break during the Monday Night game was...brace yourself...

"Can the Buckeyes still win a national championship?? Find out, tonight on Newscenter 6!"

    Yeah, I'm not kidding...

I couldn't believe they won the OSU/Iowa game, considering how it looked like they were trying to lose for half the game. If Iowa had played a West Coast Offense against them instead of trying to Big Ten it against OSU's defensive line that game could have gone the other way.

I couldn't BELIEVE they lost the ball twice that close to the end zone. Fortunately, Iowa didn't try walking the ball down the field with a short passing game until the last five minutes of the final quarter.

    BTW, you have PM.

    Respectfully,

I am addicted too but my team sucks this year, they will not be in the playoffs this year. I think Farve will retire this year, especially after loosing 4 games in a row. Damn it Green Bay

Well, Im up watching the game tonight and my fantasy football team, the Canibals, has a 3-2 record this season (if all continues to go my way for the remainder of the evening), and I've been watching football on TV (because we all know I wasn't allowed to play organized sports) for about 20 years now. But I would'nt consider myself a junkie. I dont watch college ball at all.
