Living one's life based on realities that can be observed and/or produce real, observable effects is invariably better than living it based on unrealities such as Santa Clause. Many Christian claims, and ideas found in the Bible, are demonstrably unreal.
You make interesting statements. Im curious what is mankinds purpose?
If at all, would you consider to abide by a set of Laws? ie. natural, inherent

I tend to hold beliefs for which there is a substantial amount of actual evidence. I.e., ones that have at least a modicum of scientific basis.
DDog to really have a firm foundation is to believe in things that have a lot of evidence or you can settle for just a little bit of evidence, see its that easy.

LT,
This is my problem with the choice issue.
Gods sovereignty, how could one possibly imply that their individual choice could effect the outcome that has already occured in the the timeline of God who is not subjected to time?
I have the same arguement for the LDs' and Jws. If God is counting on mankind to give the Gospel that saves man, we have a big problem. Not that I dont believe that the great commission is invalid, I just do not believe its man that is responsible (in the end).
I've used the borrowed phrase 'God as a spectator' this is the Arminians' default mode. If this dilema could be explained then there would be something to talk about.

Yes, its true he doesnt post the words "sealing himself" However I carefully read his dispensation of scripture re. choice, Its very clear to me that he enables himself to reject Grace.

If he feels he has a hand in his salvation, is fine by me. But dont assert that is Doctrine! (name of thrread)

So what claim would you say he is asserting?

they loved telling people they couldn't salute the flag, vote, take blood, have a hangover, have oral sex....you get the idea.

once it dawns on jws how dumb and ridicouolus they sound, it's the beginning of the end.

Its amazing we (former ones) seem to have a common feeling to shred the control of the Tower, and try to regain our identity, and it seeems even while we were in, we really were'nt "in" The Towers reach in ones life, touches every aspect, its unbelievable.

The reason that I say this is because the blood is efficacious, even in his explanation, it's just that he places far more onus on man to perform and work in sympathy with that..

By his(ud) works is how he comes to the desired effect of the blood.

If presented correctly(from this thread) Uds position is clear, he is the one who seals himself.

Telling people you were once in a "cult" makes them feel bad for you. I t really does.

Thats my response. Gotta call a spade a spade. I can remember the end of dub-dom life for me. "Mole" in this thread reminded me of a assembly we were at Vet stadium I was 16 or 17 we would get high in the parking lot almost a tail gate, and go back in, an just lay back and check all the freak dubs doin their thing. Oh the memories. LOL. E.

Embarrassed?

How bout going in ~~sales~~ er' field service and meeting someone from grade school. That was the biggest fear of eminent embarrassement to the enth degree!!!!!! Because I felt I was a undercover Dub while in public. I absolutely loathed the Jw persona. I just wanted to fit in.
