I have a cousin who claims to have disassociated from the faith over 10 years ago. Recently he told me that our family has never learned about this. Honestly I dont see how he has continued to keep this up. Said that he thought about fading, but decided against this. Im just wondering is there anyone on the board who has tried this. He basically lives in another state, and comes to visit from time to time. After expressing that I no longer believe in the faith, he share this tibit with me.

Im not offended they didnt allow his funeral at the kingdom hall. Also I realize there is no justifying the act of him murdering his wife. Basically Im only explaining what I knew about the situation. Ultimately he is responsible for killing his wife. Im only telling what I knew about their health issues. Also how he was rejected for baptism, to give insight into why he may have snapped.

The elders felt he wasnt spiritual enough. He had back problems, and had a hard time moving about. They thought he was using his handicap as an excuse not to do more. I guess they felt he was half hearted about it. They questioned whether he was doing it to please his wife. She was a witness about 30 years, and he was a reformed mobster. They depressed him to the point, that he wanted to return to it. He told me this two weeks before the tragic event. They made him feel that he wouldnt never be good enough. He felt that he was giving it his best effort. Yet these spiritual graders felt otherwise. Im even more digusted with this religion after I witnessed this. It's all about meeting a quota with them.

Thanks for welcoming me. I didnt learn too much about whether they had kids. The couple didnt have a Kingdom Hall funeral. Their non witness family handled their burial in another state. The elders wouldn't allow the husband funeral to be there. The elders didnt want to discuss the husband, but bashed him when they did. I literally seen this man spirits dashed by the pressure heaped upon him. These elders made up every excuse in the world not to baptize him. The excuse about him not making enough hours, actually angered the congregation. I couldnt really encourage him much with the faith. I had already stopped believing it myself many years ago. We talked about computers and racing every time I sat in his study. I will always remember him telling me, that the elders put him in a down state. Also saying how hypocritical they were, and how he regretted accepting a study.

I knew this couple personally. The wife was a very nice quiet lady who fully embraced the faith. For awhile he would drop her off at meetings, until a child invited him inside. The husband was having a study at the time of the death. I actually sit in on studies with him. Both had a lot of health issues that weighed on them. The husband wasnt allowed to be baptized. The elders said he wasnt making the hours. He became very discouraged telling me and others his feelings on it. I honestly believe the health issues they were facing, and his rejection for baptism lead to this. Mostly dont believe the wife wanted to die. Thing is, we'll never know only speculation remains. However, I personally know that this religion added to his depression.

Thanks for welcoming me to the board! At the time of baptism I was very depressed, and confused...thus making the worst mistake of my life. As I was about to get dipped, I looked at my mother..saying.. I cant do this. She urged me to get over my social anxiety, and get baptized. The elder I had studied with approached me, with photo's of me looking disorientated. He stated " I've never seen anyone look so displeased after baptism, are you okay'' I told him water had simply gotten into my eyes. My aunt then asked my mom...why she urged me on in this condition. My aunt had been a witness for over 30 years. My mom, and I was getting baptized at the same time. I basically came into the religion under a state of confusion. I became angry with myself, for not being strong enough to stand firm in saying no . I became angry with my mom for urging me, after seeing in the state I was in. The elder I studied with, is very close with my family...and simply refuses to let me be. He claims to see me as a son, and it's basically spiritually stalking me. He once told me of a story where he encounter a witch in field service He claimed to have knocked on a door, and is invited inside the home Suddenly he is being teleported all over the ladies home. I've never believed this story, and still dont believe it. My mother feels bad about my situation, and says she would never shun family. My aunt and uncle said it's tragic, but they'd have np choice ex[ect to shun me. Years later, I recalled this witch encounter story that the elder had told me. Then I decided to use demons, knowing that this elder would atleast believe it. I mentioned to the elders, that I havent practiced spiritism, and honest dont know.. how I became possessed. My aunt and uncle started to believe in this story. My aunt has mentioned to the elderrs...that I cant control my actions, and they should be easy. My aunt hasnt liked how the elders has handled my case, and has let them know this. Most of the elders are scared to bother me, which is exactly the way I wanted it to be. Now If I could just shake the elder that brought me in the faith. Honestly I do get a kick out of having duped them. They try to control people, and yet ..I have them at a lost with me. I do understand that playing this game.. may not be healthy, and Im seriously considering a move.

I've been in the ''truth'' for about 7 years. Basically I grew up believing in it, but knew joining it would destroy me. Im simply awkward around people and have suffered from social anxiety all my life. This meeting greeting and converting thing is ultimately not me. Im simply avoiding doing some assignments by not attending, acting like I can't comprehrend them, or saying that I dont feel well. I've never been the type of person, that could be told what to do. Some elders have tried to manipulate me out of fear to do, as Im told to do. Since I have family in, I stay home mostly to avoid these confrontations. However it's very stressful, since they keep showing up, despite me telling them..to leave me alone. In order to keep them at bay, I've concocted a demonic possession story. They believed this story, since Im always been to myself, and uncooperative with them. I told them I was afraid to attend meetings, for fear these demon may make me act up. I told them, that I dont know what triggers it, and I cant be around the ''friends'' risking it. The elders suggested that I see a psychiatrist, to which I replied...so you dont believe in demons? Then they offered to pray for me, and I refused this request. Soon or later I may get tripped up, but it was a masterful idea to buy some free time.

Thanks for the warm welcomes. I look forward to posting more on a regular basis. I contacted Bethel, and then realized it was a waste of time. They simply do not value or opinions. So then I decided to play games with the guy on the phone. He tried to find out which congregation I belonged to, and I wasnt falling for that, and finally he said just stay home. I loved taunting him and atleast got a good laugh.

I've never thought about it. Yet I've called them and started pointless arguements. Why I dont know.
