Follow up to Crazyguys rant.

want to thank everyone that's posted on the other thread the advise is much appreciated and i will look at all the ideas before i proceed.

i wanted to talk about the advise concerning stopping my kids from going to meetings and or stopping the jw's from studying with my kids.

first a little background on my situation.. im still married and still living with my wife.

You need to take one thing at a time. Attempting to stop them from attending the meetings with their mother will be counterproductive.

But you have every right to study with your own kids. Try this.

To get everybody used to the idea, let them know you will be studying with them from now on but you will sit in on their study with the MS for a month or so to give them time to adjust to the change and for you to observe how he is doing it. Then after that have the MS still attend but you conduct the study and inform the MS that he is free to stay or go after that.

Invite the the M S to go fishing or hiking with you and the boys and you might even wake him up aswell.

Patience and diplomacy.

The origin of the name and masthead illustration of The Watchtower

thanks to the great "watchtower history" blog with historical information about the pre- and early bible students years, i became today aware of the origine of the name the watchtower and the masthead illustration in front of the old magazines.. in c.t.

russell's younger days, his mother and other relatives died and were buried on the family plot at the allegheny cemetery.. it must have been a defining moment voor the young ctr.

look at his inspiration to choose the name and masthead of his magazine.

Sausage fest aside, there is quite a resemblance. But, don't all watchtowers have a similar design.

I think CTR cobbled together many ideas to start a religion, none of which were holy spririt just images and ideas from everyday life at that time.

yesterday some jw's came over to my house and were even being nice to me, most of the time if they do come by an elder or ms may say something but the others will not, its even hard for them to say just hello (how pathetic).

( they also do this behind my back as if i don't know).

i now realize by not being their i've handed my kids right over to them!.

Ray Franz was an Idiot

For Ray to do what he did from where and when he was doing it, in my eyes makes him a courageous man.

He is a hero in my book, and I'm grateful to anyone who in their own "imperfect" way has beaten down the path to ttatt for the rest of us to go down. Yes in our own way as well.

We needed people like him.

Can Anyone Help Me?

i'm wanting to set up a youtube channel exposing what goes on at meetings and the hypocrisy that goes on.

trouble is i'm not exactly welcome at the meetings if you know what i mean!!!

i was wondering if anyone out there in uk or us could let me have a khconf number and pin so i can record parts of the meeting and expose them on the tube.

The meetings are public, so unless they have a restraining order against you or you are breaking the law no one can physically evict you from the public meeting.

Do you mean that you are disfellowshipped and not allowed to talk to anyone?

Because to me that would make sureptitiously recording the meetings easier not harder.

when elders think they can steal from the government and pretend to be holy, than jehovah god has left us!.

The crazy sick birthdays = beheading thing is a JW thing. The Bible doesn't say that celebrating b/days will result in a beheading. JW twisted extrapolation.

You need to politely but firmly clearly state that you are their father and kick this MS daddy wannabe to the curb, how did you even think that was ok in the first place.

The "mis-truths" said by brothers during the Royal Commission.

my sister said she heard several "mis truths" or dare we say, "lies" said by the brothers on the stand during the royal commission.. 1) vin toole lied when asked about the expression "theocratic warfare".

he said he was unaware of the term.

2) terry obrien lied when asked whether witnesses are free to research the organisation or free to leave without any negative consequences.. 3) geoff jackson lied when he said that the organisation doesn't run a 'police state' and doesn't criticise those who want to leave.
