You are just not used to people being honest about their thoughts and feelings.
You are not in Kansas anymore Dorothy, people here will tell you what they really think, so be careful what you ask.
i am sorry that on my first post i am asking for help and advice but i am at my wits end.
i have been brought up a witness all my life and it is all i know.
i am an ex-elder and pioneer and i don't know anybody outside of the congregation.. i have been unhappy for so long and wanted to leave.

You do know you have rights don't you?
JWs may shun you in a social sense but they cannot take away your legal rights or property.
Stand up for yourself man.
in your personal experience, do you think that the wt attracts needy types of people?
over the years, my experience is that they do attract very needy, insecure, dysfunctional, types.
i had an acquaintance that i just basically cut off.
Meanwhile, back at WT Ranch, the born-ins are all happy and well adjusted, with no hang-ups what...so..ever!!!
Well done born-ins, you dodged a real crazy-bullet there 😉
But maybe that's for another thread.
just as i think my loathing for the jw cult has peaked, it goes higher and higher.
i wish this cult would just go away.
i wish my wife would just wake up.
Dubs are basically religious narcissists.
Ignore them while they go about their cult activities and don't get sucked in to participating in their mini-dramas about getting to meetings/fs on time etc.
Again, ignore their cult activities it drives them nuts.

I think it not only attracts them it creates them.
"you don't go to church in a kingdom hall" was stated during the public talk yesterday.
the speaker then elaborated that "people who go to church, go to fulfill a spiritual obligation.
coming to the kingdom hall is coming to learn.
thought it would be good to share what ones take to deal with the meetings.
Just a tip to anyone seriously considering the weed idea.
The laughing and the giant bag of cheetoes might give you away.
i am working, more in the planning stages, where i am going to offer a commentary on the caleb and sophia cartoons that the org puts out.
i noticed a heavily patriarchal bent to the narrative that these cartoons offer.
i would really enjoy working with someone who has an academic background in feminist philosophy, or at least someone knowledgeable.
