"Did Jehovah ever protect me?"
I'm here and awake so what does that tell you?
hello forum.
i started this topic because i had been thinking recently about a story that i had heard many times in different congregations over the years.
kind of a jw urban legend if you will.
"Did Jehovah ever protect me?"
I'm here and awake so what does that tell you?
a new video on jw org tv titled do not hold a grudge is presented by gb's oldest member gerrit losch.this is just another representation of the standard of talks prepared and given by the highest level of authority and position within the jw organization.
they desperately need help, not even their complete rebranding can save them from themselves.some of this gb member's gems about holding a grudge include -.
- what can lead to a grudge?
Ok so in the shunning video you are told to hold a grudge until the person gets reinstated.
Now they are saying don't hold a grudge, what do they think shunning is?
Disfellowshipping has got to be the mother of all grudges! Carried out by an entire group!
WT speaking out both sides of their ass - again.
i used to try really hard to fit in when i was an active, true blue jw.
somehow it hardly ever paid off.
time after time i attempted to mingle and make jw friends.
Oh yeah, who can forget the bruvverly luuuuve.
Reminds me of a line from a movie (Addams Family values I think) when Fester's wife "Debbie" screams at Gomez
" He's wrapped in a gossamer blanket of love, and he hates your guts."
(ks10 p11:1) revelation 1:20 depicts jesus as holding the anointed elders in his right hand, thus, by extension, indicating that he controls all bodies of elders for the purpose of accomplishing jehovah’s will.
(re pp.
in the shepherding book it says "holding the anointed elders in his right hand".
"Holding the elders in his right hand"....
Since the GB are dicks it sounds a little masturbatery (is that even a word?) of them to claim to be in Jesus right hand. Anyway, eeww.
JWs in effect say "if you believe anything other than what WT teaches you are are stupid and worthy of death"
Yeah, that's so respect-worthy. Bit, hard to feel all warm and fuzzy about someone who thinks you are worthy of death if you don't attend their church meetings
Do JWs think mine or anyone elses beliefs deserve respect?
Thing is, they run over other people's beliefs with a theocratic bulldozer by saying everyone elses beliefs are false and they don't have to respect them.
Do they respect a Dr's belief that lifesaving medical treatment should come before a person's religion?
Do they respect a teacher's belief that students should learn from a broad range of subjects and make up their own mind on what they "believe?"
Do they respect the policeman's belief that crimes of abuse should be reported?
well, thats it folks.. my identity on here has been rumbled and reported to the elders.
someone, somehow, has figured out that im a member of this site and - rather than speak to me - has promptly reported me to the elders.
i just feel sad for my daughter.
I would tell them that the GB is the naked emperor so they can shove their JC leave me the f*** alone.
i'm wondering why believers remain members of this forum which is clearly hostile to believers.
as one member said, nonbelievers pounce on any semblance of belief like piranhas on prey.
as former jws we should have had our fill of judgmental know-it-alls, but here we are.
Why do believers stay here? Fair question.
Could it have something to do with over 200 comments (and counting) across two new posts, over two and a half days?
These sorts of christian verses athiest threads have an eternal life of their own (pun intended).
jws very much believe that there is an absolute truth and of course, they are the only ones who have it lol.
how about now though do you still believe that absolute truths exist?
or is everything subjective?
Absolute truth? Absolutely.
But, is that Jackson Pollock painting I love really good and really art?
Depends on who you ask and what their taste is, the only thing we know absolutely is that it is worth a shitload of money.
everything that is done at the midweek meeting can now be done at home.
the videos are online, the first talk is scripted, the bible highlights are scripted.
you could get the same experience by just reading and watching the material from your tablet.
Pretty soon you will be able to have all your indoctrination needs met in the comforts of your own home via the tv screen. Who'd have thunk it.
Remember folks just don't forget to keep hitting that donate button websites don't run themselves.
