i am not sure i will go, since i just moved away from home a month ago.
it is not cheap to travel 250km and pay for hotel here in denmark, and i am not exactly rich.

Latest son of thunder video on YouTube and the 07 letter to the elders.
by Crazyguy inin his video he mentions an elders letter sent to germany in 07 , i believe.
in this letter if i'm understanding it correctly the elders are being instructed to send most of any information on hand about child abuse in their congregation to headquarters and any thing else they have at home or in their personal possession to destroy it.
this seams to be the most obvious case of wt telling their elders to destroy information.

Maybe Zalkin would like to determine if it's real. Not that a letter for German elders would help in the US, but it's possible people like Mr Zalkin would appreciate a heads up on letters like this exisiting and the mindset of WT.

The elders being trained by WT to ask creepy questions is underdtandable to some degree as they JWs are a creepy cult. But, what I find to be a more interesting study in human behaviour is why oh why do people answer them?
Yeah, yeah I know the elders are big and scarewy and have the power of disfellowshipping but if more people told elders to go f*** themselves in JCs more individual elders may start thinking twice about what questions they ask.

In Hitler's Germany the majority of germans were peaceful the same can be said of other countries where genocidal atrocoties have been committed, the majority of the people were peaceful. All that was needed for these things to happen was a murderous minority on a power trip the peaceful majority were irrelevent.

You're right smiddy, a priest is holding it which makes it even more strange as a choice of bible versions to hold up in a lethal injection scene. It's not like you can walk into a bible or book store and purchase a new world translation.
My best guess for an explanation would be a jw in the prop department, but who knows.

Are JWs "mind trained" to be habitual liars?
by nonjwspouse ini don't mean overly obvious, or otherwise meaning to cause harm, but taught to lie for the purpose of avoidance.
this type of lying can be pervasive in areas of life that are not just to avoid discussions with people who have questions about the jw, etc.
my husband will lie/be deceitful about the silliest, simple things.

Yes, they are trained to re-frame situations, articles, rules, bible accounts, their own motives and intentions to the point that to a non-indoctrinated mind it would appear they are either very stupid or very dishonest, when they are actually programmed, programmed to re-frame.
Freedom to have and express thoughts and feelings are not allowed as a witness so what do you do with those normal human functions? You pretend they don't exist and lie if someone catches you with an unapproved thought or feeling.
So much so, that it eventually becomes natural to do so even about stuff that doesn't matter.
Survival as a JW relies upon your ability to suppress and/or reframe any undersirable unapproved thought such as doubt
Because as we all know doubt is the gateway sin to the worst sin ever -apostatsy!

I spotted it too greenhornet, real WTF moment.
Felt it was a strange gratuitious close up of a new world translation when normally a KJ version would be used as the most commonly recognized bible. Wondered if there was a JW in the production crew? Very odd.
