"No junk mail". How witnesses ignore these signs!
by stuckinarut2 inas we know, many people have "no junk mail" signs on their home letterboxes.
this clearly means that they do not want unsolicited mail or advertising material.. so how are witnesses getting around this?.
during the campaign to distribute the convention invitations, when they come across a house with "no junk mail", they are just putting the leaflet inside an envelope and hand writing "to the householder" on the front and putting it in the letterbox!.

Verifiable proof of Jesus' existance outside the Bible
by unsure inthought i'd start a separate discussion on the subject.. those who know me know i'm struggling with faith; i want to believe, some days i do but it becomes difficult.. many believers say there is verifiable proof of jesus' existence outside of the bible.. please post this proof..

There is no verifiable proof that a man named Jesus was the son of god outside of the bible account, even early christians who converted after his death and never met him, saw him or heard him needed to put faith in hearsay evidence - hence the need for faith
Although there is the whole calender thing hmmm...

McEnroe Puts Serena at About 700 on Men's Tour
by cofty injohn mcenroe was challenged by npr reporter lulu garcia-navarro to amend his comments about serena williams in his new book in which he rates her as the best women's player of all time.
lulu suggested he should not call her the best "women's" player but simply the best player of all time.
mcenroe was taken aback and explained that the men's and women's tours were very different and that serena would be around 700th on in the men's game.

Yeah, I know right. Men are stronger than women - end of. If all sports were merged into unisex competitions the sports that required physical strength and power would be dominated by men. A fact of biology.

Do not give an inch or give up on seeing your kids if you want them in your life and you want them to have any idea of what a normal life is. Jws are a CULT.

No brain, No Life -- says JW Professor Rajesh Kalaria
by cognisonance inso continuing my review of the current bull shit my family in this cult are subjected to i found this article about professor rajesh kalaria, a jw since 1973 and a scientist who has studied the human brain for 40 years (hmm... so he converted into this cult very early in his career it seems).anyway i also found this jw broadcasting piece about him where he says:.
โand brain is what we are; what i am, what you are.
no brain, no life.

Yes! I have thought along similar lines myself.
For the JW version of a "resurrection" of the exact person to be possible genetic material would be needed to be saved not just a "memory" of the person. So even if Jehovah has access to all the genetical material ever created the so-called "resurrected" would be a clone of the original.

A Poll Regarding Shunning
by pale.emperor ini've created a poll here: https://goo.gl/7xburo.
i'd be interested in seeing the results.. .
#qp_main1119848 .qp_btna:hover input {background:#00355f!important} #qp_all1119848 {max-width:815px; margin:0 auto;}if watchtower scrapped the shunning policy due to "new light" and your family suddenly agreed to speak to you again would you accept them back?.

No, if they could shun an innocent loved one because some organization told them to then there are some underlying issues going on there. If they're capable of unjustly shunning me over a religion then how much do they really love or care about me. They would need to show they have grown a backbone before I accepted them back.

Russian Ban upheld - JWs lose appeal
by OrphanCrow inthe supreme court of russia has rejected the jehovah's witnesses' appeal.. https://jw-russia.org/news/17071719-195.html.
july 17, 2017 the supreme court of russia has missed the last chance to restore law and justice for the 175,000 russian citizens professing the religion of jehovah's witnesses.
it took less than an hour of the meeting a panel of three supreme court judges, to leave unchanged the decision taken earlier by the judge yuri ivanenko, the liquidation and ban any and all registered organizations of the religion.since there is no more effective domestic remedies, the believers will appeal to the european court of human rights and other international organizations.. *note: as reported by the jworg source, jw-russia.org.

Russell's Pyramidology Originated In Edinburgh Scotland
by cofty inthe edinburgh city observatory sits atop calton hill at the east end of the city centre adjacent to burn's monument, scotland's national monument modelled on the parthenon, and nelson's monument with the time ball that falls at 1pm every day except sundays.. .
the second astronomer royal of edinburgh was charles piazzi smyth (jan. 1819 - feb. 1900).
smyth was a man of many and varied interests including meteorology, producing weather observations that still form an important part of uk climate records to this day.. building on the work of james taylor, smyth became fascinated by the great pyramid of egypt at giza.
