Nothing will change with WT decision makers unless they change the way they view child abuse.
The ARC pinpointed the specific things WT needed to change to get up to speed with current psychology re child abuse victims and perpetrators and WT gave them the finger.
WT seem to be pedophile apologists.

In the area I live in there was a brother "lobbying" for the three congs to become one a couple years back.
The amount of butthurt that ensued over the mere suggestion of consolidating three congregations that averaged 40-50 attendance figures for mid week meetings shocked to me honest.
When you think of all the actual tragedies in the world, WT selling off a few halls doesn't even rate a mention.
He's sad now but you can assure him it will pass.

I don't think of it as an absolute complete waste of time. Sure, the thought of all the hours spent in mindless WT activity in field service and meeting prep sucks donkey dong but I see it as part of a journey that got me to where I am now. By contrast, I was able to discover the kind of relationships I didn't want for myself and what was really important to me.
For instance, I discovered freedom of mind is in some ways more important than freedom of speech. We all have to censor ourselves everyday to a degree depending on the situation, but, to be allowed to have our own thoughts and feelings on any given subject is a gift especially after you've been part of a group that made thinking independently of the group wrong and sinful.
Was there easier ways to learn such things? Hell yeah, my biggest mistake in that group was switching off my critical thinking and squashing my own intuition - never do that again.

but surprise, surprise - within a few short months the "slave" decided that jehovah had had a change of heart, and now decided that the book study in homes - with all of its alleged benefits - was superfluous: .

I went Elder Hunting yesterday!

well last sunday night i got phone call from t- dum, he informed me that t-dee was listening in, no doubt practicing his short hand.
