JW Refutations of Criticism of Russell and Rutherford

can someone direct me to jw refutations of the harsh criticisms of charles russell and judge rutherford that are on the internet and youtube?

i am a fair person and insist on hearing both sides to a controversy.

in this case, i would like to know what traditional yw responds to such personal criticisms and alleged changes in beliefs.

JWs don't care about The two R's. Russell and Rutherford are old news to them and they don't give a toss what they did or believed. When I was in very few, if any, people were interested in WT ancient history. They only care about what the GB are doing now and any criticisms of the old dudes would just bounce off their indoctrinated brains, dismissed with a wave of the hand.

I agree, I think less and less people believe in "God" in the traditional sense anymore. The very formal picture painted by the churches of a literal "God" man sitting on a "throne" in "heaven" is the stuff of days-gone-by sunday schools now. It was used to keep kids "good" or rather obedient but most people that still believe there is more to life than what we can see have moved way beyond that simplistic child's story.

WT decides for it's members having blood in any form is wrong and JWs go along with that.

WT decides blood fractions are ok and JWs go along with that.

WT decides the internet is dangerous and JWs go along with that.

WT decides the internet is a blessing from Jehovah that can be utilized to advertise the kingdom and JWs go along with that.

WT decides higher education is bad for all regular JWs even though they themselves employ the use of lawyers, accountants, doctors, IT specialists you name it and ordinary JWs just go bleet bleet.

WT decides christians do not vote or join the military and JWs go along with that.

If WT in a flash of new light decided tomorrow it was now ok to vote or join the military JWs would go along with that also.

Conclusion: JWs are not more moral or caring or christlike than any other christians they are just more brainwashed!

More incapable of thinking for themselves and less likely to employ the use of their own individual conscience on matters.

Fred Franz Former Training in Ancient Greek

has anyone been able to verify that fred franz received the minimal training in ancient greek that he claimed gave him the expertise to translate the bible?

you would think that would be fairly easy to verify or disprove in this day and age.

what college did he attend?

So like all of WT's claims of "qualification" and legitmacy his "qualifications" as a "scholar" in Hebrew and bible greek were seriously pimped then. No surprises there.

Anyone pissed at their parents for raising you in the cult?

my mother was not the most emotionally stable person.

she was a follower and instilled in me the idea we were better than those worldly people.

its hard to go to school as a child and you can not be friends outside of school, you can not celebrate any holidays, and you are told all these people are going to die.

I think one of the signs of maturity is when you realise that your parents like everybody else on the planet are flawed individuals as a result of their upbringing and genetics.They had their own shit from their own parents to work out and get together and like all of us some of us are able to get our shit together, some of us are not and the rest of us are working on it.

Becoming a parent doesn't automatically make all your baggage go away, and often that's when the baggage comes home to roost and the decisions they made were them attempting to deal with their baggage in a way that wasn't the most healthy but seemed like the right thing to do at the time, or maybe, they just didn't know any better.

Also assigning today's knowledge and sensibilities to past generations is a bit unfair, 20/20 hindsight makes us all enlightened.

Hopefully each gen learns something from the mistakes of the past gen and does a little bit better but even the best of parents will leave some scars on their children and them in turn will leave some on their children.

Shit happens it's what you do with it that counts.
