  My dilemma

  i have a bit of a dilemma that i would welcome advice on from the forum.. a brother in my congregation is giving evidence of having woken up - his comments and talks are usually slanted towards topics discussed here.

  he is a former elder and is part of a group of other former elders and ministerial servants who i regularly overhear using terms i would expect to hear from ones knowing ttat.

  he is a quite an effective teacher and will probably influence some.. however, in the past he has caused lots of problems for myself and others who i like (including another poster to this site who i have identified) and continues to be someone who i dislike intensely on a personal level.. his comments have been noticed by the body of elders and he is being watched.

  I don't see where the dilemma lies.

  Surely, it is up to the individuals involved to deal with him how they see fit, and you do the same.

  Lost friends and musing

  sitting listening to some very evocative music, rachmaninov, my mind wandered across 4 decades of friendships and laughter in the borg, friiends now faded to memories.

  the time in "the ministry" just after a co visit when he had urged us to knock more persistently at doors instead of quiet taps so we did not disturb anyone.

  i was with someone and showing off how loud i could knock and firmly attacked the large brass door knocker in the centre of the door.

  In my area there was a spate of incidents in which totally naked men answering the door when sisters called. I got sick of this and decided I wasn't going to let a bit of nudiness put me off. And sure enough me and another sister went up to this door one chilly morning and a naked guy answered the door smirking like he expected me to run away screaming, only I stood there, looked directly into his eyes and spent the next ten to fifteen giving him a Genesis to Revelation sermon without batting an eyelid.

  I thought, if he wanted to go all "full monty" I would go full JW.

  At the end I said "oh and BTW you might want to put something on it's cold out here."

  I think I wanted to high five the sister I was with, but she just stared at me speechless and said " er...that was great..."

  Literature being discontinued, including Isaiah's Prophecy and Reasoning book

  congregations get an annual letter that tells what can be ordered for literature (it's mainly a list of audio cds/dvds for the deaf), but this time it included publications that will be discontinued, and this included the isaiah's prophecy book and the reasoning book, and i think i saw the draw close to jehovah book.

  i meant to take a picture of the letter but forgot.

  the branch is only going to give what they have on stock, when that stock depletes that's it, you won't be able to order those publications anymore.. this is in canada so i don't know if this is worldwide..

  There was some kind of "climax at hand" with whoever wrote the Rev Climax Book but it wasn't of the biblical prophetic kind, that's for sure. 😉

  the average birth rate in the world is roughly 18 babies born per thousand.

  the catholics have a membership of roughly 1 billion members.

  Nicolaou - Thankyou, I'd like to thank the WT and it's writing department for making this award possible. I'd like to thank their God Jehovah for blessing their printing work and thus ensuring that for all time, there will always be, in a basement somewhere in the world a mouldy copy of a WT publication.

  Thankfully for apostates everywhere they will never be able to erase their long history of printing embarrassingly stupid books. It would be like trying to gather confetti on a windy day.

  The only thing you need for service now is a supply of jdubyah.borg business cards in your pocket.

  Was there any real need for debate in the first place. The law 's the law and printing up copies of someone elses book is breaking it. End of.

  And may I say thank goodness for that, maybe now we can get back to our regular program of lighting a tiny little fire under the huge filthy rich butt of WT.

  I'm glad to hear you say that the people in poorer countries see right through the dubs WingCommander.

  I have always suspected and hoped what you said to be the case, but having never been, and only hearing WT propoganda reports it's difficult to gauge the real story at times.
