  The Congregational Make Up Research Project: WTB&TS wants to know you.

  we have a bethel speaker on the english side.

  they're pretty regular up here since it's only three and a half hours drive from nyc.. but this is a special kind of visit.. it turns out he's involved in doing a special research project and the christian congregation of jw's wants to know us better.. in order for the broadcasting to address issues more meaningful for families, they want to know the demographic make up of the congregations.. he spoke with the secretary about young single publishers and couples 20-35 y.o.

  how are they employed.

  Maybe they have figured their "cookie cutter" approach ain't working anymore and tailored broadcasts and articles is the way to go. Maybe Caleb and Sophia have proved so popular they have decided to expand their repetoire.

  A Witness soap opera.

  A Teens witnessing in style program.

  Brothers who reach out wrestling matches.

  The possibilities are endless, I imagine.

  i have thought about writing this article for many years, and the awake!

  2014 no.4 was the final straw.

  there it states that jehovah's witnesses show no prejudice towards homosexuals, and "they neither mock nor mistreat people whose practices differ from their own.

  Good job, Paul. I like the way you call a spade a spade right from the outset. WT is indeed a disseminator of intolerance, judgement and division. The nicey-nicey "face" they like to portray to the public contains a sly message couched in language that softens their bigoted stance but their stance is very clear cut and that is that homosexuals that do not change their ways will be disfellowshipped and shunned and ultimately destroyed at armageddon.

  Their message really is that simple no matter how much they dress it up, slap some corny animation on it and call it "loving."

  so after the 2 special pioneers visited i thought i had given them an earful about the arc and the pedophile problem in their organization surely they would have put me on the do not call list.. oh, no not my luck i get an elder and his lovely little mute wife with infant child in the stroller this morning at 9 am.

  don't these people have a job to go to?

  it was a car with 3 men & a woman.. we go through the standard do you read the bible yada yada, i tell them i know the routine very familiar with your game.

  If the media had reported even just a teeny-tiny report in an obscure article somewhere in the butt-end of the world that Jehovah's Witnesses Persecuted For Standing up for Freedom of Religion!

  Then that news report would be "soooooo true" and used in every Assembly and RC talk for the next ten years.

  i don't see this posted elsewhere, and i don't have the links besides this facebook one.. but here is a 45-minute long bethel talk about the changes at bethel including addressing the hard feelings of people who were given the axe.

  basically, everything must change.

  we gave remaining bethelites saturday off to do our bidding in "the field" and we give bethelites over 70 an extra day a week off (if you can find any such bethelites).

  WT's anti messages are usually of the velvet glove kind. Their messages are dots that the audience joins in their own mind. Anyone who is a fan of the horrormovie genre will know how implied threat and menacing music can be more effective in elicting fear than a big scary ghost in full view.

  They don't actually come out and say the words you're gonna die horribly if you don't serve Jehovah either but we know by the scriptures used as reference that that is exactly the message. The brain makes the connection even if the conscious mind glosses over it.

  People that grew up listening to those "soft" trauma messages can still have nightmares about it as grown adults.

  I don't underestimate the cumulative effect these messages have over say a twenty year period from birth to adult hood, they really do get in and cause long term damage to the way people think.

  JW anti-gay children movie viral in Netherlands national media + official reaction of JW spokesman Branch office

  various dutch (netherlands) media mentioned the anti-gay children movie on jw.org,.

  and gay, lesbian, transgender and bisexual organizations are shocked, and some gay people.

  are reporting the movie to the local police.. the official spokesman of the dutch branch office in emmen declared that the movie is.

  If the message of the video is intended for mainly "internal use" then why doesn't Sophia's button-eye "Coraline" mom tell Sophia not to be judgemental of her classmates artwork, and that her classmates two moms are none of their business.

  What will Sophia's classmate think of whatever Sophia tells her? Will she then go home and tell her mommies?What will her mommies think of this story of gay people being like inappropriate illegal "carry-on baggage" that have to be left behind?

  This video is another example of WT's simplistic equation of real-world issues. If A happens then apply B and you get the happy outcome of C. The reality is always more complex. The knock-on effect of WT teachings generate grief for all who apply the ridiculous suggestions set out in their propoganda videos.
