Hey, if it gets people checking out the website ... well ........ no such thing as bad publicity and all.
I 'm sure any sort of negative press in which it turned out local JWs were being falsely accused would stir up some interest and curiosity amongst some in the community. And, hey presto Satan serves you lemons and you make lemon koolaid.
Having said that, still think it entirely plausible that some rabid dubs did it.

I can believe some rabid JWs would do this sort of thing.
There was a guy in my cong that went around town pulling down xmas decorations when noone was looking, and he was considered "zealous."

To UK members that go to meetings - did Brexit cause a spike in meeting attendance last weekend?
by freddo ini went to the mid week meeting and looked at the attendance figures on the noticeboard for the three congregations that share the local kingdom hall.
i wrote down the three previous sundays attendances and this sunday (after the referendum) too.
cong c. (95 pubs) 74/82/73/90.

i left the watchtower organization almost 20 years ago but never abandoned my faith and belief in god.
i knew the gb/organization didn’t represent god, so when i lost my faith in them, i managed to keep my faith in an all wise benevolent creator.

When I was a dub I always felt very uneasy about the bible readings where horrible events some of which directed by Jehovah were read out loud and I would look around at the rest of the cong and think am I the only one feeling squeemish about this awful story? Am I the only that thinks there is something terribly wrong with this picture?
I would excuse it away in my mind with things like we don't know all the circumstances or it was a different time or this is just a retelling of events it probably pained Jehovah greatly or discipline is needed sometines......so on and so forth all the usual excuses to try and reconcile "God is love" with these accounts. If Hitler's atrocities made him a "monster" .... why is God-sanctioned violence against the innocent excused? Don't understand.
Surely violence is violence is violence?
