Jp - hmm... what could that something be? I call it poopie shorthand.

I tried to query the lack of info once but everyone thought I was being mean to poopie. So now I just go with it and try to guess what the missing info is. I call that translating poopie's dubious shorthand.

i believe that many witnesses are tired out or at least tiring out.

i know....... because i am tired out!.

imagine going to college for 20 years not knowing when college is finished.

I agree. I ran into three different witnesses recently and each one of them were struggling.

One was severely anxious because her jdub husband was "severely depressed he was on needed medication for." One was really tired and "needed a holiday" and one "hadn't been very well" with "sleep problems and indigestion."

I haven't felt this good for years.

So there are only 12 magazines left!

ok, so hot on the heels of the announcement at the agm, we have been told that there are probably only 12 magazines left!.

yes, there will be only 3 wt each year, and 3 awakes.... and that they will do this for two years, then reprint those issues.... so yes, the "abundance of spiritual food" is limited to 12 more magazines..... surely, this is proof of the end coming so soon!?!

Haven't they always recycled articles by putting them through the spin cycle?

Now, there will just be fewer of them.

How "green" of them reducing their paper usage like that such humanitarians lol.

The Change

the change has begun.

my jw friends that came to my house months ago finally have figured out i am in no way going to become a jw (how it took them that long i have no idea).

now the change to them wanting to have nothing to do with me has begun.

Having a headsup on JW behavior can take the sting out - a little.

Still, it can be a rough ride though, stay strong, you don't need that toxic religion.

As far as the org looking bad - witneses have always been careful not to show their true colours until a person is well and truly entangled. There is the "offical" version of the org complete with happy snaps and the real version that not only looks bad and smells bad, it is bad!

In fact it's shocking now quickly they can go from "loving christian" to complete jerk.

Glad you figured them out.

WT is always very careful to "encourage" they never say "you must do this" "you must not do that" no surprises there in the way it's worded but the intent is fairly obvious "we would really like it if you donated regularly as part of your household budget."

WT's famous for it's "Claytons" rules - the rules you have when you don't have rules in WTspeak are called "suggestions."
