I knew a woman that became a JW because it reminded her of her amway days.
She met a longtime inactive JW was love-bombed big time by his JW friends, they married and it was her who got him interested in his religion again because (as she herself would put it) she loved her amway and loved the witnesses!

Wow, so who designed the studio they borgcast from and the apartments they live in and the HQ they control from ? An architect maybe?
Who is qualified in film production to put out semi- horror special FX gems as seen in Remember the wife of Lot? Anyone at Bethel know how to make someone look like they turned to salt and shit? Anyone with that kind of knowledge?
Who defends them in court? Law degree anyone?

The most effective lies will contain some truth even if small and only superficially true. It's like the sugar that makes the bs go down. That's why otherwise intelligent people can be so easily taken in when the latest propaganda bandwagon or the latest gossip comes to town.
Repeating it makes it stronger. Repeating it a hundred times in news cycle can potentially end careers, start wars and crash markets or in the case of a cult repeating it everyday for a few months or years can create a "believer."
Lies are very effective tools.

Notice they never show any official stats or figures to back up any claims they make of the % of people who seperate and those that don't. Face it WT would you prefer all to be miserable and enslaved - even if it's by proxy including the "unbelieving" mate.

What the article doesn't acknowledge are all those supportive "unbelieving" mates. Most of the couples I knew the husband was very accommodating of the "sister" financially supporting her while she pioneered, driving her to and fro from meetings patiently waiting in the car, turning up at memorials for her sake, helping at KH working bees.
The other thing it doesn't mention is the abusive JW mates?
I 'm not saying there are not difficult or even abusive unbelieving mates out there but the article makes it sound like all unbelievers either are or will be abusive. The article is simplistic, one-sided and short on information. There are other sides to this issue they are not talking about.
