it was shocking.. all these years later, i found myself crying for the dead for the first time..
Shock horror deep pain for the victims as their plight unfolded, mesmerized, couldn't take my eyes off the telly.
Then became fascinated with the crime itself how it happened, the logisics, jet fuel, steel melting, freefalling buildings etc etc and have remained intrigued by it ever since.
I think the arnchair forensic research stuff was my way of coping with the unthinkable that if it could happen in the middle of NY it could happen anywhere.
we all know the big movie villains get a lot of credit and appear in multiple movies - the shark in jaws, darth vader, and before them dracula, wolfman, frankenstein's monster, etc.. but there must be plenty of villains that get forgotten.. i thought clarence boddicker (played by kurtwood smith) was fantastic in robocop (1987) - a real psychopath.. another character who springs to mind is vilos cohaagen (ronny cox) in total recall (1990), i thought he was very good too.. obviously these and other movie villains do get some critical acclaim but they don't get their own franchise and they rarely get universal praise.. maybe 'unsung movie villains' is the wrong phrase but hopefully you get what i'm trying to say!

Not a "villain" per say unsung or otherwise more of an antihero persona but the Tyler Durden character from Fight Club is one of my favourite characters of all time from one of my favourite movies of all time.
so serena williams lost the us open final 6-2, 6-4 to naomi osaka, her japanese-american opponent.. williams received three code violations from the umpire, carlos ramos: .
1. a warning for illegal coaching (subsequently admitted by williams's coach).
2. a point penalty for smashing her racquet.
Cartoonists/caricaturists are on thin ice career wise anyway in this increasingly PC world.
They take a persons most prominent/dominant features and accentuate them in an unflattering drawing if they were to never caricature people of different races and religions would that be "not depicting diversity" I wonder.
Charlie Hebdo cartoonists got killed for their art didn't they?
i think trump will be the nominee for the republicans and the democrats... i have no clue.
i hope bernie sanders runs again and wonder if hillary would dare go for a rematch..

i was scared and i promised myself i would never come back to them.
however, that one didn´t really count.the moment that woke me up was this:i got to know that whitney heichel was a jw and murdered by another jw, because i overheard that conversation in a kingdom hall.i looked up the news and in one of the news comments, there was one where an exjw was complaining that they were hijacking her funeral and they were really trying to downplay the fact that her murderer was a jw... and then it said "visit jwfacts.com"... which i did.and the rest... is history.what exactly got you onto an apostate website when you woke up?
I can't remember which one was the "first" but
JW facts - it was a simple easy to navigate website with credible information.
WTdocuments (Barb Anderson) - the personal experiences were invaluable for me to see I wasn't crazy or alone. Randy Watters bethel experience was very illuminating.
John Cedars/JW survey - interesting reading and, again, proof for me the questions I was asking and the conclusions I was drawing were reasonable not "mentally diseases."

What drove me to search apostate stuff was simple - desperation!

hi, i seem to remember that the society have said that you are not viewed as a witness if you have not reported for 6 months.. does this ring any bells?
someone i know has been called for a judicial, even though she has said she doesn’t believe and is not not attending meetings and hasn’t for 6 months.what she did was 12 months ago when she was a witness.. she is not sure whether she should turn up or not, as turning up shows she thinks she answers to elders still.
but also doesn’t want to be automatically disfellowshipped which may happen if she doesn’t turn up.. if there is an article to quote saying someone inactive isn’t seen as a witness, this would be helpful.. any thoughts?.
And in many cases they're simply ignored. It depends on the local body often times not any hard and fast rule.
In the case I commented on earlier it was the CO who put the kybosh on the investigation citing the "she has been inactive for a few years and the local community don't view her as a witness" principle even though that was debatable to say the least and there were elders gunning for her.
It's not what you know or what you do in JWland it's who you are related to.
