Simply put, the future generations of mankind derive no useful benefit from homosexuality. Traditional marriage is all about procreation and the viable continuation of our species. Homosexuals have won the right to be tolerated, the sodomy laws were struck down= no more jail for them.

I thought when they got domestic partnerships and access to their bed partner's corporate spousal job benefits that would satisfy them-

Nope, then they wanted the Federal benefits from Social Security- hence, the push for marriage licenses. Some of those gays appeared awfully happy to see a non-believer go to jail - she never stopped any from obtaining a marriage license from a gay-tolerant clerk in another county. So it seems its all about stamping out dissent, which seems rather Marxist to me or maybe it's been taken straight from the WatchTower playbook on intimidating all who dare say- NO

Finally, I am wondering, if this is a sly Federal judge- he jails the woman and waits for the government attorney to charge her for a crime- hunt, hunt look, search for an applicable federal statute she violated ( marriage licenses are not in the constitution= states domain) and then in a few days her lawyer gets her released - it's called habeus corpus. Well, we shall see what happens.

Obama pushed the Gay agenda through, so he is fair game as to his reasons for doing so-

Unlike many here, I am not cowed by the liberal slant of this forum. Nor would walking into the midst of 100 JWs stop me from telling them my opinions on the fake WT corporate religion. Those who disagree with the majority on a topic, are likely too timid to say so here-

I see someone criticizing me, who is still pretending to be a JW- he needs to man up and take care of getting out of that cult. Can't he take a little heat- shunning?- or is he waiting until the supreme court rules that JWs can't call former members names anymore?

Much can be said of people being swayed in polls just by the wording of the questions, so polls don't always mean what you think they do. Donald Trump has turned all the sympathetic polls for illegals on their head, because now people have suddenly started giving honest opinions on illegal immigration.

I doubt that anyone here has actually read the actual supreme court ruling and the dissenting opinion.-- I have, and the narrow ruling for gay marriage is a legal embarrassment, without any constitutional reasoning-- unless we now have the constitutional right to prevent others from hurting our feelings because we act differently than the super majority.

Studies of identical twins-one gay and one not, seems to indicate that being gay might not be exclusively genetic, but societal and early learned exposure to gay ideas may play a larger part in gay development than the general public is aware of.

Obama did go to gay bath houses - one man who tried to talk about it turned up murdered. Obama spent his early formative years in Indonesia- a Muslim country. Nobody would question that someone raised as a devout JW until age 10 could be predisposed to believe WT dogmas. The gay agenda was advanced by Obama, that much is fact- once he leaves office, the public will soon the see real Obama and realize they have been played for obsequious fools.

Sorry, but marriage is for a man and a woman. Go back to your domestic partnerships.

No matter how hard the gays tried to reprogram humanity into accepting gay marriage, I believe that if straight people were honest with themselves and could vote their conscience, they would overrule the supreme court. Which as many have pointed out was technically, an illegal ruling. It is public knowledge that two justices officiated at a gay wedding and should have recused themselves from the case for having a conflict of interest= a predetermined prejudice for gay marriage. They refused to recuse themselves. Rightly so, many in America see the supreme court ruling as being an illegal ruling. Once President Obama is out of office and is free to go back to his gay bath houses as private citizen, a new president may force the supreme court stop making politically influenced decisions that have little constitutional basis.

i've been lurking on the board for almost a year now and i think i'm ready to come out of hiding (although, i'm so nervous as i type this).

i'm not ready to share everything about my story, but the basics are that i'm a born-in, elder's kid, baptized as a teenager because i was tired of hearing people ask me "all your friends are baptized, when are you going to get baptized?

It's unfair to your non-JW husband that you have gone back to this crappy religion. My crystal ball says you were rebellious in going out with a non-believer, but he thought you were great. Choices are limited in JW land.

JWs don't usually DF someone for marrying an unbeliever unless there were charges of immorality or marriage in a church. Then you had kids and the pressure was on from JWs and JW family for you to come back to the KH- now hubby has to put up with you going back to the meetings and the KH, assemblies, service, etc. taking you away from the family and him. Very unfair- a stab in the back to him. By going back to the KH, you made the elders the head of your house= your worldly husband got demoted and he doesn't even know that.

The time is short for you to make amends to your husband and children. Set out the Halloween decorations, put up the Xmas tree, have a birthday party and the KH will wash their hands of you. The faster the better. You already have figured it out= the WT religion is a scam. Don't worry about your parents- you have children, that is leverage enough, but severely limit their visits and only under your total supervision with the rule that the JW religion is never to be discussed with them.

The general advice given to worldly folks who ask about dating a JW (getting serious) is to find someone else, asap and avoid the heartache. .Good luck on leaving the KH and staying away- it can be done, others have done it and so can you.

I'm sorry if my true words are not nice sounding. I'm being an advocate for the unbelieving husband - he deserves better.

I remember the exact moment I walked into a Christian bookstore in the winter of 1996 and asked the clerk, "Do you have the book, The Five Gospels, what did Jesus say"?

She jokingly replied, Oh we don't carry that book- we don't want to stampede the horses.

Sensing it was just what I was looking for, I immediately headed over to the secular bookstore to order it.

I visited Ray a couple times at this home about 25 years ago and I was the beneficiary of one of Cynthia's wonderful meals. Yes, They were very nice to me, ie, a JW who had quit a few years before that and was disfellowshipped quickly afterwards by my KH. However, it was the book, The Five Gospels, that truly set me free. I no longer needed Ray who still stuck in the same mindset.

One thing I noticed about them, is to my knowledge they never joined a church, no they just did their thing and met with other like minded ex-JWs. I think Ray liked the attention he got from the Ex-JW community and many looked up to him as their anti-typical Moses who led the JWs out of WT bondage. It was up to them to find their own Mt Sinai- Ray was a Theist of sorts, but I never did pin him down to any concrete set of dogmas. . I think one reason he may have stayed away from churches was he didn't want to hurt the sales of his books, which was an income source for them. Obviously Social security must have been very meager. I do know their house was pretty much paid for by donations from the brethren of ex-JW land.

I may have been an idiot, because I wasn't smart enough to figure out the WT con game before I was sucked into it. My average neighbors and friends did figure it out though and refused the constant JW offers of a Bible study. Those of us who were just regular JWs were duped by a corporation using sophisticated mind control techniques. Who did that to us- why it was the governing body,( since 1971) WT corporate board members and the president. The GB was apparently lazy and delegated writing and operational authority to 6 committees in 1975 ( the year the Sh*t hit the fan)

By 1970, Ray was in on the center of action and worked on the aid to Bible understanding, which was instrumental in opening his eyes to the WT doctrinal frauds. He could have walked out right then and there. Cynthia was born in 1935 and would have been 40 in 1975--she may still have been able to have children had they left immediately, when they had accurate knowledge about the WT religion. They stayed put until after 1980, until the option of having children was gone.

Was Ray an idiot? No he was not, he was pretty smart, but he may have been a high functioning moron for not leaving, just as soon as he knew the WT was not Jehoovers sole true religion on earth.

The biblical adage, you reap what you sow, is hard to overcome for those JWs who delay exiting the KH. That is a good lesson for fence sitters who are waiting to leave the KH, in the hopes they can get away without any negative consequences for their life.=== wait, wait, delay, dither, it's never the right time for some people.

I got all excited about the study article on the cover -loving your neighbor as yourself- but my excitement was dashed as I read it- nothing has changed.

Loving your neighbor, only means sharing the hope of Jehoovers kingdom with a worldly person . NOT, shoveling the snow off his sidewalk, not raking his leaves, not offering to help help paint his garage door, not taking over a hot meal, because they were sick- nosiree--physically helping worldly people might make you sympathetic and they might invite you over for a barbecue where you can mingle with other normal people- can't have that happen. You would find out just how happy the other side is, not being a JW.

Actually, JWs will seldom work their own neighborhood- nope, they work a territory where nobody knows them. They can't risk having anybody come over to their house the next day and ask them to volunteer on a habitat for humanity house with their church group or maybe ask them to donate canned goods for their church's food pantry. Nope, as I tell JWs all the time, "you JWs are social parasites= you suck all the free stuff you can from the world and you give nothing back to the community"

Exposing one's identity. When?

i've been toying with the idea of just coming out and posting my name and location as an attempt to be available to locals that secretly browse the forum that have known me for up to 25 years.

( "reaching out", so to speak ).

i'm not da'd or df'd, so this most certainly could end in a dramatic confrontation.

I don't know your situation, but heed the advice of a mid 60's and over 25yr seasoned ex-JW- don't do it. At some point you may move to a new city and want to be just a normal person- not somebody who was totally fooled by the WT crapola. Just mentioning that you used to be a JW would the kiss of death at a Superbowl party.

One year of being free

one year ago, this thursday, i went to work as usual.

i got home, ate dinner, got myself dressed for the meeting, and helped my kids get ready like i usually did.. my son had a talk that evening, his second one.

many of my family went to support him.

after my exit the kids began to look forward to their birthdays and realized it wasn't evil, as they were brought into the world out of love-- birthdays are the anniversary of the day they came into the family- the firstborn's birthday is the anniversary of the day we first became a family.

how can you dis-associate anyway, you never thought you were baptised as a watchtower society member, you thought your dedication was to god, so why formally disassociate from something you did not formally join?

While you are at it, you might as well tell the IRS that wages aren't income and consequently you don't owe any taxes, either. This annulment ploy doesn't work, unless the BOE are dolts. I tried this idea back in 1988. You will still be shunned and have your family ripped apart.
