  Posters do you know of any cases where a devout JW was DF'd for Lesbianism?

  i think this is a hush hush topic among jws but i remember years ago at an assembly i saw two sisters(i am only assuming they were jws they could have been studies or relatives of jws) walking arm and arm like a married couple.

  some of the jws looked at them like they had horns.

  some of the jws moms were covering their small children's eyes and those two women were stared at like they had the plague.

  Heavy metal

  i have always loved heavy metal music (thrash metal to be more specific).

  since heavy metal is usually associated with satan and occult themes many christians and jws in particular stray away from it.

  in my teenagehood i was listened to it obsessively until i started studying and got baptized at age 18 and i started listening to other genres.

  I played Motörhead in our JDub van after we concluded service once, much to the consternation of my still-devout wife. Twas awesome :)

  .....done evening witnessing on halloween?.

  true story: once i was auxiliary pioneering in october and got the flu mid-month.

  naturally i had to get those sixty (dating myself) hours in and i was at fifty on 10/30.

  True story: once I was auxiliary pioneering in October and got the flu mid-month. Naturally I had to get those sixty (dating myself) hours in and I was at fifty on 10/30. Halloween was thus an all-day affair, and by the time evening rolled around they thought I was trick-or-treating AS a Jdub! Didn't place any magazines but got a buttload of candy :)

  Fake friends and other things that annoy me about the Kingdom Hall

  it was easy to figure people out.

  as long as you got out in service and put money in the money box people will pretend to be your "friend".. but let's be honest is most of business associates.

  they are your friends as long as you are active doing the watchtower bidding.. and then let's talk about the lack of hot women.

  Thanks for the advice and kindness. Keep it coming. Makes up for the lack of love I got at the KH. :)

  Background: still married to the kids' mother, a believer, and I consider myself a Secular Humanist so no desire to go to a different church. Too much bloodshed and bigotry in the name of god.

  ...when I told them I didn't believe anymore. They cried like I'd never seen before. My oldest, 10, pleaded with me that she'd do anything to get me to keep going to meetings ("I'll get A's on my report card!"). I am truly heartbroken: they're putty in my hands.

  It's not like I want out so I can party (although some weed would be very nice ;) ) and I told them I'd always respect their beliefs, still their reaction was devastating.

  i had a bunch of tiny little nags that always bothered me about the bible/god/etc.

  that eventually led to me drifting away, but this was my personal, singular issue that no one could address.

  The whole issue with murdering Job's children and David's firstborn. Innocent pawns in a situation they had no control over.

  Especially in the case of David where he specifically said "I have forgiven you"....but I'm gonna murder your baby? WTF???? Life is precious, my arse!
