  Not one visit, 8 years in a nursing home, and not one visit!

  my dad{rip}, was a faithful jw since the year i was born, i'm 60, he died 2 years ago.

  his last 12 years were spent in an assisted living/nursing home right in the small town where he spent the last 8 years of being an elder/pioneer.

  when he went into the home, one brother would visit him regularly, but after 4 years, that friend moved away, and visitation from the locals ceased, for 8 years!!!!!!!

  I feel this new provision will not solve the current situation regarding "sexual abuses"... specially for minors, children or vulnerable ones. Just the opposite, it will make it worse...

  In Spain as in many countries within EU, all persons knowing any info regarding abuses MUST report to the police. Not only anyone present as a witness of these abuses, but as well anyone knowing details about them (aka... Elders in a Judicial Committee).

  If the victim decides not to report to the authorities and the Judicial Committee decides not to disfellowship the abuser, another possible abuser will remain within the Congregation.

  Last but not least, "Do not destroy" envelope with the details of the abuses seems to remain. Again, it seems that the registry of abusers within the Congregation (maybe some reported to the authorities, and other not reported) will not be stopped...

  - New changes are being check by the lawyers at this moment.

  - Changes are held in order to fulfill European laws.

  - Once exposed to a sexual abuse, when the judicial committee starts, the ones present must listened and read a statement stating that applying the state law of the country the victims can report to the authorities.

  - The victim might be asked to sign a statement according he/she is aware of the possibility to report to the authorities.

  - The signed statement or the info that the victim can report to the authorities will be held inside the "Do not destroy" envelope.

  This piece of document, shows two things.

  All voluntary donations in France do not stay in the country. Nor they go to the Branch printing their "biblical literature".

  Second, a clear evidence of how the funds are dropping. I agree with darkspilver that they are actively disincentivizing the donations.

  The figures are only of 1 of the 4 associations set up to manage the Work in France.

  You shall then multiply the amount at least by 4. Anyhow donations in France seems to be very little...

  Document in French. Please check page 9. This is the audit report of the Association for Jehovah's Witnesses in France, East Region.

  There is different associations like this one in other areas, all of them covering and managing the KH and congregations in France.

  Surprisingly.... Almost all the donations in 2014 and 2015 has been transferred to "Jehovah's Witnesses in Germany", another equivalent association managing JW interests in Germany.

  What the FDS do not tell, the "Journal Officiel" the public records journal in France informs it. All associations do have to publish their audit reports every year.

  We do not speak about few pennies...

  2014: 9.279.230 EUR

  2015: 6.950.000 EUR

  Where all millions of EUR from French JW have gone? Germany?
