  i think the majority of forum friends are aware of the existence of a vibrant watchtower opposition in the spanish field.

  for about 13 years the extj forum was probably the main instrument for that endeavor, sadly the couple sponsoring that site decided to close it at the end of last year.

  it seems like they were overwhelmed with personal obligations and responsibilities; they were covering a 100% of the expenses without any outside cooperation or publicity.. after the closing of their forum, some of the friends started new sites to keep the flow of information alive.

  I agree with David Blanco, there are many places to discuss in Spanish and this has been the same for years.

  It is quite unpleasant to be attacked just for the fact of a forum closure. Many are not really understanding the legal problems you get in some countries you might face.

  Since the closure I'm as well quite active in Reddit forum with r/exTJ tag. Many exJW are active there.

  Hello to all,

  Sad news, no indeed... Totally the opposite.

  Reasons to close the current discussion board AbusosTJ.vbulletin.net are many, but can be summarise by two points:

  1. Since November no substantial result in the crowdfunding we propose to make board running and many other actions. As the economical viability was not cleared I decided as the Admin of the board to give sufficient time and close it at Feb 14

  2. Legal concerns.. A board owner is legally responding to all the possible judicial concerns. I paid an high price to get some legal help. Crowdfunding not following, I have no other way than to close it.

  Sadly, after giving that news, people was not supportive at all and I discover that I was labelled as a "dictator" because I left exJW Spanish without a discussion board... Sad to see that the previous owner of exTJ.org was attacked today in the same way and she confirmed it on her Facebook.

  AbusosTJ was never meant to be a discussion forum. It was, is and will be a project to help victims and give visibility on the sexual abuse within JW. Who wants a free forum for chit chat talks might do their own. Facebook, Twitter are excellent platforms as well for discussion.

  It was as well unfortunate to be attacked by some exJW in Spain through mass mailing after forum closure for another reason, being gay !! Yes sir... Being gay, you as a victim, you are not a safe travelmate...

  Two gay magazines in Spain featured my story months ago. Maybe the exJW involved in this attack still needs to face a fact. LGTBI rights are present and gays are safe people not pederasts...

  Due to the attacks I decided to close definitively the forum before the expected day of Feb 14. There was no reason to face these attacks anymore.

  Some people clearly thought to be exJW activists because they were writing on a board. It goes much further than this... Better to be less activists in numbers but focusing on doing things...
  

  AbusosTJ has not disappeared, we have transformed it in a blog www.abusostj.org where we post and discuss sexual abuse activism, actions, etc...

  Next actions:

  - Some Spain Congresswomen received us weeks ago. We are making some nice conversations and proposals to them. These are in study.

  - Two main TV programs will be on air in 5-6 weeks and discuss sexual abuse within JW.

  - Different meetings with local and regional politicians to give visibility to our claims.

  - We are going to do a seminar end September in an important Spanish University to give more viability.

  - As usual we focus as well in making this situation to be known within the general audience through newspapers.

  Maybe we are going to miss many forum members for a while but time is precious. Let's face it. Better facts and actions than talks

  the commission is slow, needlessly protracted and inconsiderate of the extent to which ongoing damage is being carried out.. scrap it.

  As you know I have now taken over responsibility for the Watch Tower Inquiry. I am looking forward to working with you all in the future and would like to thank you all for the invaluable information you have already provided which I am familiarising myself with.

  I am also writing to let you know that the Charity Commission will be publishing a statement on the gov.uk website today at 10am (I will send you a link to this later today). This will report that we have withdrawn a Production Order, which had previously been made under section 52(1) of the Charities Act 2011, requiring Watch Tower to disclose documents that the Commission considered were relevant to the inquiry.

  You will see our reasons for doing this in the statement. However, I wanted to reassure you all that this does not represent a step backwards in the Inquiry.

  Watch Tower has already provided some of the information which the Order required them to disclose and we have obtained additional information from other sources such as yourselves.

  I understand that many of you are frustrated with the speed of the Inquiry, which has been delayed by recent litigation. The revocation of the Order will make future litigation less likely and hopefully allow us to engage with the charity to address our concerns in a more productive way.

We have not received the files, not received a confirmation that the files do not exist. We have not received neither the negative declaration.

  Obviously we have requesting our files and info, exclusively ours.

  As the Spanish Bethel was not answering our request, we filled a report to the "Guardia Civil" (Police). We explained them our request and the answer received. The gladly report it with no doubt or further questions. The situation was very clear for them.

  @darkspilver According to my opinion, the spirit of the policy is not following EU civil rights for kids. If they are please educate me...

  As far as I know there is no other religions except Catholic Church getting a clear Policy.

  One of the most dangerous point is according to law in Spain, ANY person knowing a possible child abuse, MUST declare and report it to the Authorities... There is no option...

  two publishers of the tagalog group in barcelona (public meeting at 4.30 pm) do visit an evangelical church barcelona downtown to receive free food bags.... i can confirm that the queue was long.

  the pastor in charge of this church has not allowed me to take picture of some older jw living barcelona downtown, but i was able to catch these young publishers.

  The fact I want to speak out here is the point that these JW need to find the support in other believers, not their own brothers and sisters...
