  if so, what kind of answers did you get?

  if not, did you think it odd that this so-called christian organization didn't preach in christ's name?

  matty and i have gotten several books lately.

  right now we are both reading "30 years a watchtower slave" and "awakening of a jehovahs witness".

  both we highly recommend.. anyway in the midst of it all he asked me: when did it turn into a cult?.

  Im tempted to say when they start refering to everyone as "brother, sister" and they have titles denoting rank in the religious hiarchy.....bah, who cares, when and how dont matter, the fact is they ARE a cult

  nothing yet...but I know i will miss my friends anthony, aaron, ricky, scott, bob, mark, josh, blake, and whoever else, lol

  i used to play some songs with these people...so its going to throw me for a loop when I leave..it will toss them for one too...

  other than that, screw the WTBTS. I dont need any more of it. And I can find new friends so HA! *adds insult to WTBTS's injury*

  i like it...but take it out when you dont need it in..ive seen some pretty nasty infections due to studs scraping the gums away. its really sick..but other than that, i love it !

  Heh, its funny, at first glance, i read that thing the whole way through. There was a news artical on slashdot.com a while back about how our minds only really see the first and last letters, but they have to be where the first and alst letters go, otherwise, our brian will not fully see it, and our memory or perception fills in the rest. I read through it so fast, I didnt even notice the joke..I had to go back..lol

  jehovah's witnesses are taught that they will live "forever" on paradise earth.. let's say the year is 278,486 (assuming armageddon occurred in 2003).

  the millenium has passed, everyone has been resurrected, and earth has become the true paradise the jws predicted.. only one problem: you've done everything there is to do.

  would you attend the funeral/memorial service?

  assuming that it would be held in a kh; or even if it wasn't.. this is something that's been on my mind lately; honestly, i'm not sure why.

  my parents are both still relatively young; 60 and 61. my dad has been diagnosed with skin cancer but both are otherwise healthy.. i really don't know whether i would; particularly for my father.

  I tend to agree with joanandandy. They are the parents, and that never changed, and never will. Besides, what are they gonna do, criticize you for not showing up for the past few years..i doubt it, ;)

  A letter to the Parents

  a friend gave me permission to post this.

  i think it's a good letter, it might help others formulate their thoughts; she understands it may not be read or considered deeply, but things can't get much worse with her family at this point anyway.

  no contact is not that much different than contact once per year or less, and sometimes it's just really important to have the people who should know you, at least know you a little.
