  i have been raised all my life in the jehovah's witnesses organization.

  i am not baptised.

  after recently reading reasoning from the scriptures i began to question the organization.

  Sounds to me that you have been doing your "homework"....(here's a pat on the back for you!)

  I was raised in the truth(tm) and got baptized in my late teens....Didn't come to your realizations till about a year ago.

  Good thing you aren't baptized......it will be easier for you to ask the elders some questions. (you know they want you to get baptized and to keep a hold of you thru the "time card".) If and when you ask them any questions be sure to ask in this manner:

  "I am so confused about (you fill in the blanks with what you presented on the first post of this thread).....could you please help me understand this???"

  I understand why you don't want to be alienated from your family....but here again, you NOT being baptized puts you in a different light with them (a not so judgemental light, they will just figure you are going thru a stage and hope you will come in the truth(tm) soon)

  I am fading and am trying to not alienate any of my family. Fortunately, I don't live close to any of them.

  Hope all goes well with you, and keep us posted on any conversations you might have.

  Saturday Is THE BIG DAY!!

  our daughter's getting married!

  and her (pioneer) grandmother, her best jw friend, my brother and his jw family, and one longtime elder friend and his wife will be there.

  tonight is the rehearsal dinner.

  crucifixation or upright stake

  hi everyone, i'm new :) i know jesus died on an upright stake and not a cross but i don't know where to find the info on where or when the idea of the crucifixation orginated from.

  Child Therapist/Social Worker Says JW Religion Destructive

  i took elizabeth to her therapist this morning.

  i was able to talk to the therapist and bring her up to speed on nancy and to talk about my concerns.

  she said that she is completely aware of the effect the religion is having on the kids.

  thank goodness.. for the last couple of days one toe has felt so bruised i could barely touch it.

  the today the other foot swelled up and i can barely touch any of that.

  i don't need this.. back in may a doctor put me on an anti-inflammatory drug.

  To Sassy and others that know we are vacationing

  ...we are still in orlando....patiently waiting out the affects of ivan to go to pcb.

  we know they have no power up there and there are no flights available....so we have to stay here for a while.

  i am glad steve and joy survived with minimal damage to their home.

  Congrats on the 30th anniversary!!!!!!!!!! That is so awesome. You guys are such a sweet couple. I am so happy you had a wonderful time in Hawaii.

  We are enjoying the beach....every day it is clearing up and looking like it should.

  We got to visit with Steve the other day...had a great visit.

  Maybe sometime after we get back from out vacation we can all get together.
