IP: Bisquick works quite well for making dumplings. That's why I buy it!!!! I have my own buttermilk biscuit recipe and buttermilk pancake recipe, but I love the Bisquick for the chicken and dumpling!!!

(((awe)))
We never got to officially meet at the last crawfest.
I totally know the pain of a broken elbow. I broke mine years ago working at a restaurant. Had to have pins and wires installed to get it to heal, as the tip broke off....so much pain (worse then 16 hours of labor and 2 spinals). I didn't have 4 heart attacks to deal with besides... So sorry!!!!!!
Glad you posted and hope your health improves...

My Sister's Visit
by Sunspot inmost of you know that my family disowned me in 1972 when i was baptized into the wts.
i have only one sibling, a kid sister .
i was thrilled, but nervous, not having a clue how things would go and trying to keep in mind all the things i should not say as well as things i was eager to find out about, concerning the rest of the family i have had no contact with.. the moment we laid eyes on each other (and recovered frm the gigundo hug), it all went just great!!!

I am so sorry
I lost my Mom to cancer when I was 14. I was the youngest. I am not sure who went thru her things.
I do know this, it takes a while to grieve. So what you are feeling is normal.
I am 50 now and still cry at times because I didn't have her very long in my life, I didn't get to do things with a Mom that many others got to experience.
Hang in there

Serena Williams - Renewed JW activity & Boyfriends?
by Seeker4 inthis is a paragraph from a ny times article today on tennis champion serena williams.
her comment is in regard to how she dealt with the murder of her older sister a couple of years ago.. "i tried to develop a better relationship with god," williams, who was raised a jehovah's witness, told me over the phone.
"you have a strong solid foundation, the bible says, you won't crack, but the man who built his house in the sand, his house went down spiritually.

Maybe her "massive contributions to the WTBS" and her local KH keeps her off their "radar".

How do you deal with this feeling of emptiness?
by DeusMauzzim inthis feeling that you have seen it all, that there's nothing more in the universe to live for.... i know that it is rubbish, i know it's related to post-exit syndrome.... but how do you deal with it now?.
it's just so ridiculous to have the feeling that you're life is over at 19... but i can't help it.. help me!.

Welcome....
I totally understand your pain. It's a shock of life to realize what we believed in is not what it "appeared to be".
Like someone else said: your age of 19 is totally going for you!!!
I was 46 and realized what you are going thru. It has been 4 years later and I feel the same way. Life can get better if we believe in ourselves and realize no matter how old we are that WE can have a GREAT LIFE!!!
My kids no longer talk to me.......empty life for me : yes. God it hurts. But I have many work friends that reflect a sincere kindness and like me for me.
Look at how people react to you...... YOUR life is just beginning. YOU can go to college (I had to give up my scholarships at 18 because I was a JW) You have the power to have an amazing life........go for it!!!
take care,
