The donation link is not yet on the public home page. It is only visible after logging in. I not so subtle reminder to donate if you hadn't done so at meeting, convention or assembly. Or maybe to encourage more so you can be traced as a good donor. I remember when I was first reaching my limit many months ago now when local needs talk conducter stated that our donations are as important as field service. You read it right, AS IMPORTANT as field service. He went even further to state that your donation made you "right" with God. So if you've been a slacker in other areas of service or meeting attendance, etc. you can make up for it with a big check.

Dear Stuckinarut -
i am not an elder...just plain r&f "sis" who is in midst of great change and questioning, but still believe in God and Jesus You can find this new link after you Login for general Witnipess. you will find link to login st JW.org home page. I rhink top right corner. If you have never logged in before, you can register. It allows you to find locations of meetings or conventions.....and now to donate to "mother."
Dera WT Wizard - i don't intend to use this link....ever. i agree that holding some precious metals is wise.....wiser if done many years ago as the barrier to enter is quite high now. I think all should avoid debt anywhere if possible. I bet soon we may see PayPal offered as another option.

Obviously I missed the announcement....one way or the other....and maybe also missed prior postings here. I don't know why, but this surprises me especially since I see cards listed that are not debit-related and it seems like it may be saying okay to using debt-based cards vs. debit cards. I guess I'm just a bit old-fashioned.....and still surprised.
It feels so.....Big Brother. Like my personal details are in there and now they will offer convenient link to donate (get it) but in this situation, I was always taught to be anonymous. It just smacks of another detail/report card I'll be tracked - not tracked by.

WITNESSES CAN STOP REPORTING FIELD SERVICE!
by The Searcher inthe lawyers acting on behalf of the wtbts/g.b./'mother' during a paedophile case a couple of years ago, have stated on record that - .
a) "field ministry is not controlled or monitored by the elders, the congregation, or watchtower".
b) "an individual publisher's field ministry activity, including the time and manner it is carried out, is a personal matter between the publisher and his god.".

This post along with my own feelings that reporting field service time leads to caste system and discouragement (etc), led me to report my first zero report. I was asked diredtly by elder for report That was not turned in for prior month. I stated that I had zero (with confidence and no shame) and asked if he'd like me to hand him a slip with zero on it to confirm. He said no slip was necessary. He seemed a bit shocked. My husband was surprised though inactive.

I dont want to say how old kids are.....stilll a bit uncomfortable with too much info.
my husband and i are not separating.
We have reasons and a home already where i can go - wa a rental. I will work on certifications and work and see how things go as far as if i can start making momey here enough to live support us and he will consider coming more but he loves our home and is reluctant to leave. So kids and he will go back n forth until direction becomes clearer.
I need to get away from all the crazy that keeps getting crazier.

Thank you for feedback. I do feel a mess. i am currently planning to move temporarily as husband doesnt want to move. And do to work and desire, he will not fully move but says he will visit. He supports me to get away for 4-6 months and in reading what some say here about fading, I felt I need to act carefully. I dont want kh looking for me when i come back to visit or live.
i am only concerned about pleasing Jehovah, Jesus and my family And my study. My youngest is very concerned and all my kids want to go to meetings But do see the unequal treatment that member display toward my study versus us.....invite her out but not us, call and text her and invite her to parties and gatherongs, but not us.
I have only just started to talk to them a bit. I need to take baby steps and very carefully.
if i have to come back and if i have not had my cards sent to a new hall, they will still be looking for me when i come back. Why do i care? I guess it sounds easier than a confrontation and do to fact I have been very active and visible, I think a sudden change would obviously predicate some move on their part. They've already started coming by my house and trying to get to my door unexpectedly but my gate was chained. I have heard a local needs that sounded eerily like it was directed toward me....critical of certain kinds of service as currently i havent been d2d but still have bs that im transitioning to other member.
if i do nothing, i feel id be hounded and a hypocrit. Furthermore, the intense judging I feel I have experienced would be amped up And I'm already unhealthy. I dont think it would help me a bit to ramp up pressure on myself or family when im already cracking.

Sorry for confusion. Actually I announced I am/we are moving out of state. We ARE literally moving (though not permanent) out of state.
I will tell study tomorrow.
I was just pondering details of next step And if I'm being true to my sense of integrity....if i cannot support, then thinking that DA is better than fade but if i intend to fade i must go to a hall in move state where not known too well.
Some seem to suggest that I do not give my new address.
I think I am going to be hounded for a while by elders. Time will tell.
I will be careful. I don't want stigma For my kids.

If You Could Tell A Jehovah's Witness One Thing~~~What Would It Be?
by minimus ini really would just like to ask them if they believe everything they hear on the platform or read in a magazine.
they seriously look like cultists.
it is embarrassing..

I don't think JW's are swine and technically i am still one.
I would share a quote from former president of Mormon/LDS leader that i read recently, "If we have the truth, it cannot be harmed by investigation. If we have not the truth, it ought to be harmed. - J. Reuben Clark"

Well, it has come to another fork in the road. I have been going to other meetings and skipping more. Car groups and two bros tried stopping by my house recently but i was not home or gates were locked. (They didn't call me)
My husband and I have decided to move far away for a while. My intention is to fade...at least it was this weekend when i announced it to the elders. Now i wonder if i am breaking my integrity by not disassociating since I cannot fully support and agree with all their teachings.
i need full information.
What would happen if i dissasociate? Couldn't I still attend meetings if I wanted to, wherever i wanted to? I don't have to acknowledge their hangup about DA.
Like the old song goes, "Breaking up is hard to do......"
