  yesterday i was with a group of brothers that wanted my advice on re-roofing a home.

  three of them were ministerial servants.

  all of them are from the spanish congregation.

  I woke up my Spanish speaking (Mexican) gf... but it was a long hard process. Full of emotion, her getting so 'offended' at anything remotely negative I said. Eventually, I had to sit down with some WTs with her, and go through the 'accurate' Bible verses they quote and point out good things they say , and then point out the Bible verses they use that have nothing to do with what they're teaching. That went a long way to help her waking up. Also, by going through the Bible carefully and studying it's meaning. It still took the better part of a year, with most days spending literally hours talking about it. Now, she hates it with a passion, but still has some of the fears to shake off.

  Are the Governing Body broadcasts promoted at Kingdom Hall meetings?

  a question for those still attending i guess but are all these new jw.telemuppet.org broadcasts advertised to the the rank and file or is it more of a background thing?.

  i'm wondering because i just can't believe my 70 year old die-hard jw mum would ever see them if she wasn't sat down in front of a screen and someone clicked 'play' for her.

  i really want her to see the wizards behind the curtain.

  lions are notorious murderers of beautiful zebras, antelope and other graceful exotic animals.

  cecil probably contributed to the deaths of hundreds if not thousands of animals.

  what happened to him was justice.. you reap what you sow.

  Marvin, the reason cats 'play' with their prey is they are actually trying to find the perfect opportunity to make the kill. Mice bites can often infect and kill a cat, so it's actually a protective instinct for the cat.

  im sure to use this the next time i accidentally get sucked into an argument with someone.

  im not ever understanding the idea behind any christian religion picking and choosing what they want to believe and follow, then have the nerve to claim they are right, when clearly this is obviously done.

  here is a site that shows not only how bloodthirsty and evil the god of the hebrew bible was, but how more ridiculous it is for jws to follow one twisted 'commandment' about eating blood, not only reading it wrong, but then not to do all the other commandments, willingly , do they think they are ancient israelites ?

  Suppose for a second that God did in fact do that to secure our salvation for all mankind, do you think it would have been worth it?

  Also, if God truly is just, I believe he will also give those babies a chance at salvation too. Perhaps with resurrection or with the eternal souls being in heaven.
