Get a black marker and write "cult that breaks up families"
I usually throw them in the garbage when I see them at the doctor's office.
someone at my workplace, i don't know who, is a jw and has been leaving magazines in the cafeteria.
any suggestion as to what i could do?
i thought of writing up a note stating: "to whoever is bringing these magazine: jw have broken up my family, please don't bring religion to work.

so i shared a facebook video from newsbroke with my wife.
you many agree or disagree with the points made in the video.
please, don't make this about that.
I'm from Chicago myself and was there at Christmas visiting family.
-28deg. some days while where I live in Oceanside Cal. was 79 deg.
Don't blame her for wanting to move.
Only problem here in Southern California homes are so freaking expensive.
Wearing shorts most of the year.

140 years waiting for the end of the world and there is no indication according to the watchtower that it will be coming soon.
I know you covered it all with her ...what's her answer on that?
Could the watchtower be just another religion with its own interpretation of the bible?
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-4935392/leah-remini-turn-attention-jehovah-s-witnesses.html.
remini said that she was warned of the jehovah’s witnesses that 'these f----rs are super powerful,' but is not one to cower in fear.. 'are you ready for my response?
'i don’t give a s--- about powerful.
Watchtower is all fuc&^% up but after watching every episode on Scientology i have to say they are very nasty cult worse than the Watchtower.
so i've been a protestant for most of my life, it's how i was raised, but recently i started questioning my faith more and more and now i feel like my beliefs resemble that of a jehovas witness rather than a protestant.
i don't know any jehovas witnesses, so i was just wondering how a lot of you found the religion and adapted to it?.
I had everything going in the world as a 22 year old and then a beautiful, gorgeous young witness preached to me about a paradise earth and in 75 back in Chicago i got sucked in and stayed for 32 years. Left in 2007 and one of the best decision i ever made.
i would love to know the stats of how many hours were spent, standing by a cart, or sitting at a local town fair with jw table tent set up, compared to the number of bible studies started that led to baptism since the inception of the carts.
anyone have any idea?
if i had to guess i would say thousands of hours pent standing by a cart, and maybe less then 5 that actually got baptized.
As said before, never see dubs talk to anyone but to each other. Just came back from Italy and seen them in many different towns with their cart full of literature...never seen anyone ever stopping, not even interested in making eye contact with anyone.
Nice and easy way to count time.
i say no.. although the tetragrammaton appears close to 7000 times in the hebrew scriptures, the personal name of god does not.
seems to me that god made sure that both that his personal name does not appear therein and that no one would ever actually know it or learn even how to pronounce it.
he also made sure that his name (baring 3 hallelujahs in revelation) did not appear in the new testament.
If it was extremely important, life and death important it would have been used by Jesus and the apostles.
Jesus never used it, called him Father.
JW use his name every other second and that's not what we see in the Greek Scriptures.
so it's official, i am happy to report that we merged with another congregation having the same problem.
why is it good news???
because people are either waking up, fading or just not buying into this organization any longer or walking away.... i think many young ones are just not buying into it as much, i see many in the congregation i go to very depressed and some i know personally going thru major depression especially the young "sisters" in their early 20s.... .
Have seen it happening twice.
Once in Brookfield Il. when in 1984 one became two and then around 2008 became one again.
Happened to be in another congregation in Franklin Tn and same thing happened.
There is hardly any growth, only a few young ones getting baptized.
i know marriage is tough and it takes work on both parts.
we have been together for 27 years.
the last eight have been involved with this cult.
After 32 years in the cult i woke up and my marriage of 26 years fell apart. She was a freaking nut that always put the GB first in everything.
Best thing that happened to me when she left because she did not want to live with an apostate.
At 55 started a new and great life and met a wonderful, reasonable woman that i live with.
Don't waste more time
my name is eric hendrickson.
i have been on a journey led by the holy spirit which has brought to this point that has allowed for me to open the seventh seal and understand god's master plan.
i am the lion from the lost tribe of judah who has come to the world and be the messiah king.
