Have you noticed that the Mormon and JW websites try to appeal as looking "normal" and "mainstream"
by yogosans14 inhttp://beta.mormon.org.
for instance look at the mormon website versus jw.org.
they both look colorful and try to paint themselves as "normal everyday people" and they don't fully explain all there beliefs for obvious reasons.

Now the BORG with this JW broadcasting (which even mormonism has something similar to this) are doing trying to appeal to the masses as normal. I find this rather funny because the BORG has always tried to present itself as "different from everybody else"

Going inside "Christendoms evil churches" after abandoning the BORG
by yogosans14 inafter i was done with the wt and its unbiblical teachings i went to other churches.
first i went to a roman catholic church after reading many of the early church father writings (which btw all of them affirm the trinity) and as i first went in i thought i was literally going to burst in flames or become posssed by a demon!but as i went in the church had a nice smell to it and i sat down in the back pew and the church was very full.
the service was beautiful, there was 4 bible readings and a sermon and the priest talked about being a light to the world and living like christ and it was a very uplifting sermon considering i used to think catholics were idol worshipers and never read the bible.

Anyways I got confused since people in the church were kneeling and as people were going up to receive communion some were crying with tears of joy!i was shocked and said to myself "wow these so called idol worshipers really do care about God and have a relationship with him".
Anyways after doing more bible reading I didn't agree with all Roman Catholic doctrines and I find myself leaning towards the baptist theology. There's a baptist church near me that I attend and the preacher is very nice and focuses on doing good things for the communities (shocking since they believe once saved always saved which in JDUB language that means they are lazy Christians).
my point to this is that the JW idea that "christendoms churches" are evil and idolatrous is so false. I've never been more happy in churches then the kingdom halls before. I have met some very nice Christians who really care about Jesus and others.
After you you left have you went to any churches??

Yes, God is real. But to first off all have a relationship with God you need to repent of your sins and ask Jesus to be your Lord and Savoir, then you will be reconciled to God. If you do this you will become a Born again.
What does it mean to be a born-again Christian? The classic passage from the Bible that answers this question is John 3:1-21. The Lord Jesus Christ is talking to Nicodemus, a prominent Pharisee and member of the Sanhedrin (the ruling body of the Jews). Nicodemus had come to Jesus at night with some questions. As Jesus talked with Nicodemus, He said, “‘I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.’ ‘How can a man be born when he is old?’ Nicodemus asked. ‘Surely he cannot enter a second time into his mother’s womb to be born!’ Jesus answered, ‘I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. You should not be surprised at my saying, “You must be born again”’” (John 3:3-7). The phrase "born again" literally means "born from above." Nicodemus had a real need. He needed a change of his heart—a spiritual transformation. New birth, being born again, is an act of God whereby eternal life is imparted to the person who believes (2 Corinthians 5:17; Titus 3:5; 1 Peter 1:3; 1 John 2:29; 3:9; 4:7; 5:1-4, 18). John 1:12, 13 indicates that being "born again" also carries the idea of "becoming children of God" through trust in the name of Jesus Christ. The question logically comes, "Why does a person need to be born again?" The apostle Paul in Ephesians 2:1 says, "And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins" (NKJV). To the Romans he wrote, "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23). Sinners are spiritually “dead”; when they receive spiritual life through faith in Christ, the Bible likens it to a rebirth. Only those who are born again have their sins forgiven and have a relationship with God. How does that come to be? Ephesians 2:8-9 states, "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast." When one is saved, he/she has been born again, spiritually renewed, and is now a child of God by right of new birth. Trusting in Jesus Christ, the One who paid the penalty of sin when He died on the cross, is the means to be "born again." "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation: the old has gone, the new has come!" (2 Corinthians 5:17). If you have never trusted in the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior, will you consider the prompting of the Holy Spirit as He speaks to your heart? You need to be born again. Will you pray the prayer of repentance and become a new creation in Christ today? "Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God" (John 1:12-13). If you want to accept Jesus Christ as your Savior and be born again, here is a sample prayer. Remember, saying this prayer or any other prayer will not save you. It is only trusting in Christ that can save you from sin. This prayer is simply a way to express to God your faith in Him and thank Him for providing for your salvation. "God, I know that I have sinned against you and am deserving of punishment. But Jesus Christ took the punishment that I deserve so that through faith in Him I could be forgiven. I place my trust in You for salvation. Thank You for Your wonderful grace and forgiveness—the gift of eternal life! Amen!"

Jehovah's witness doctrine on "only 144,000 are born again" easily debunked!
by yogosans14 inthese verses in particular were an eye opener for me.
of course in the jws i thought only 144,000 are truly born again and are part of the new covenant but the bible says else wise.
i know most here will disagree with me but try to have a open mind here :).

Hello. These verses in particular were an eye opener for me. Of course in the JWs I thought only 144,000 are truly born again and are part of the new covenant but the bible says else wise. I know most here will disagree with me but try to have a open mind here :)
Romans 10:9New International Version (NIV)
9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
So we see here to be saved we have to declare "Jesus is Lord" and believe in our hearts that God really raised him from the dead. Jehovah witnesses teach to be saved you must call on the name of Jehovah even though that name appears no where in the greek text. Also they teach we must work for our salvation but Ephesians 2:8-9 says we are saved by grace through faith not of WORKS (Going door to door) lest any man should boast. Now I'm not saying works aren't important. The bible says that God saved us so we can do good works according to Ephesians 2:10.
now in John 3:5 Jesus said you MUST be born again to get into the kingdom, he didn't say it's possible to enter into the kingdom without being born again and only 144,000 are born again. 1 John 5:1 says:
5 Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves the father loves his child as well.
So here we see John is saying EVERYONE take not of that, not just 144,000 special JWs but everyone who believes Jesus is The Christ is Born of God (or born again). Anyways you don't have to agree with me but this was a real eye opener hence why I believe JWs are a false religion.
god bless you all.

Ever Think About This One? Another Bible Contradiction
by freemindfade in8you must not make for yourself a carved image+ or a form* like anything that is in the heavens above or on the earth below or in the waters under the earth.-deuteronomy 5:8. .
18 you are to make two cherubs of gold; you will make them of hammered work on the two ends of the cover.+ 19 make the cherubs on the two ends, one cherub on each end of the cover.
20 the cherubs are to spread out their two wings upward, overshadowing the cover with their wings,+ and they will face each other.

I've read the bible and the original Greek and first off let me say it doesn't match the NWT at all. Anyways so i read a real bible like the NIV and without a doubt I know it's true. I know what it means to be saved. Paul said "I preach Christ crucified" while JWs teach the gospel is not about Christs death and reserruction. According to 1 John 5:1 everyone who believes Jesus is the son of God is born again. I know I am born again, redeemed, and a citizen of heaven because the Holy Spirit (the real person not a force) bears witness with my spirit this truth.
this is my belief. I do not believe the earth appeared out of nothing. At least Jehovah's witnesses got that right.
god bless.
