Cedars leaked letter requested to be taken down by WTBTS
by umbertoecho ini don't know if this is already posted so sorry people if it is.
cedars site has had a request to take down the leaked letter regarding changes to the theocratic ministry school and other issues.. the reason given by wt is that it is a "copyright" issue.
of course this validates the letters authenticity even more.. have a good day or night people.

He said that just because a letter or other publication is made available to the public doesn't mean witnesses should read it but should instead remain obedient to the wishes of mother not to read it. -

HeyThere
The letter is very real and was acknowledged as such by an elder posting on jw talk who was going off on other posters who read it and other leaked documents ts saying that he is disappointed by the fact that a bethel it released this confidential letter as well as that other witnesses have read that and the documents provided to the ARC, such as the shepherd the flock book. It was quite an entertaining rant. But definitely confirmed the legitimate nature of the letter -

The Org is terrified of apostates
by SecretSlaveClass ini knew apostasy was a serious concern for the org, but until i watched this video, i had no idea how afraid they actually were.
all this guy wants is to do is not turn in his fs hours and immediately they (elders) set about drilling him about who are what influenced his decision, as if he was incapable of making his own (which as the elders confirm, in the org is highly discouraged).
they are convinced he has been communicating with apostates or visiting apostate web sites.

HeyThere
I will also add, during this final study, lead sister made several comments about my needing to avoid "apostate sites"...which I simply reminded her (multiple times) that the questions I had raised were from wtbts publications, and even brought out a few of the older pubs I had obtainted for them to see. But she was very very focused on apostate sites, like she couldn't accept this was coming from their own literature.
I was never baptized, I married an inactive jw who, a decade after marriage, decided to go active again. I went along, but soon realized something was amiss. It really hit home when I was going to have major surgery and was overwhelmed with all the anti blood stuff, the sister brought me the blood video and we watched it while eating popcorn. The video is such a fear mongering, biased thing the alarms were blaring. That is what started my research and then withdrawal from the jws. Elders talked to my husband a few times but never approached me at all to talk about my discoveries. I stopped going to meetings altogether over a year ago. Still working on helping my daughter be free.

HeyThere
SG,
Hats off to you. I think you handled this very well. Definitely showing those who leave wtbts are not "foaming at the mouth" and for one of the elders to bring up Beth sarim...well, wow.
When I had my last "study" with the sisters I was studying with, one of the past wt teachings I mentioned that did not sit well with me was how black people would turn to white people when they were "perfected" in the "new system." I read to them the actual quote. A bit later, the sister leading the study excused herself to go to the bathroom, and the other one told me, in nearly a whisper, "I would like to read that and see what that was all about!" We started to discuss a bit further when the bathroom door opened and she quickly changed the subject. Clearly, she didn't want to share her interest in finding out more about my research while lead sister was in the room.
Such an atmosphere of fear.

Don't know why my post did that, but I'll try again. JWs are hardly shrinkingthecatholics. Jws have slow growth, most baptisms are born in or other family members of jws...around 8m members worldwide...catholics are 1.2 BILLION world wide.
Oh, look at what else they got...
"In the field of education, the Catholic Church runs 71,188 kindergartens, 95,246 primary schools and 43,783 secondary schools. Charity and healthcare centres in the world run by the Church are 115,352. "

Jws are like the red headed step child of religion, you may not like to hear that Simon but it's true. The jws are like a drop in a bucket compared to the Catholic numbers...what jws have like 8 million members...catholics have over 1.2 billion...hmmmm
For example

Wait....am I missing something? Simon your numbers are from nearly 10 years ago (2007) or am I not seeing that right? That's not current at all....and jw numbers are pretty stagnant...something just doesn't add up here. -

HeyThere
Sending you hugs. I have experienced much of what you have, although I was never a baptism witness. My husband met and married when he was inactive. We've been together almost 15 years.
A couple years ago he went back in full on. I started going with him, and proceeded to unbaptized publisher. I always thought of jws as an eccentric brand of christian...I didn't know all the "rules" special so to speak.
There were many strange things that rubbed me wrong...such as the talk about worldly people, independent thinking, etc. The way they would "answer" questions s from a watcower by repeating the words in the paragraph and then everyone coming up to them telling them how wonderful the answer was...just weird, but nice people.
I was going to have major surgery last year, and I was nearly harassed by the whole blood thing. Major red flags. I actually assigned my sister to be my poa after that to ensure I would get blood if I needed it. Then I started doing research, tons of it, even buying old watchtower pubs and such. And I discovered Candice conti. And then the fact there are numerous child sex abuse cases and more.
I started to ask questions and my husband got pissed...just over questions!!! Also, the sister I was studying with disappeared after I asked about the blood policy. The elders talked to my husband about why I was asking questions. I was like wtf. Then my husband started getting upset when I hung out with my non jw friends...even going as far as telling me they weren't my friends.
He then threw away my CoC book saying that it would bring demons in the house. I put my foot down then and told him no more, I was done. No more meetings, studies, etc. He shunned me for weeks.
He them told me he had never thought he would marry a nonwitness, that he always pictured himself with a faithful witness woman, etc.
I finally asked him to move out. I was done. He did not want to leave, said he would not behave that way anymore, and now we just don't talk about it.
But I am left wondering if he just doesn't want a divorce due to his beliefs. I am not sure how long this marriage will last.
I am sorry this was so long-winded, I just wanted you to know that I do understand the type of crazy you are dealing with. Sending you hugs, hang in there and do what you need to do for your sanity.
