And don't feel left out OP...you weren't excluded. You are doing what is right for you. I went one day and skipped the rest, but each day my family went and I felt a tinge of guilt and missing out. So I went and got a pedi/mani and massage. Find something fun to do to take your mind off. Enjoy yourselves and your time!

Oh my Lois...True story...my great grandparents fled right before Poland was invaded...fled a town my family had founded. The entire towns people including that entire side of my family minus my great grandmother were wiped out. Brody. I just found out a couple years ago. Family history was hidden because of a deeply ingrained fear of being murdered. So ya, the dubs have no idea what the true holocaust was. The fact they feed on it sickens me. For all of the true victims.

Android or iPad? Help please.

any advice would be most helpful please.. i keep reading blurb on amazon etc and now i'm really confused.

I love my SAMSUNG android devices. Easy to use, very easily compatible and no issues. I have had a cheapo android tablet and it sucked. If you go for a quality android device (Samsung is my choice) then they are great...not as limiting as apple...

I'm writing a novel!
by punkofnice ini'm up to about 30k words at the moment and still going strong.. i don't expect it'll ever get off the ground.....at least i'm going to try though.. i'm thinking of 6 months time and looking at the route of self publishing.
yes, i want to be a publisher.. it's very violent in places, has violent sexual scenes and very strong language.. it's everything the watchtower(r) said i should avoid.....i wonder if my authentic self has exploded into freedom?.
if you want more info or wish to read a snippet let me know.. i can't think of a title and have changed it several times, at the moment it's called 'boomshot.

i have never been to a convention quite like this before.
a very friendly vibe all around, lots of banners and posters with sayings like "sending love to all our brothers", "see you in the paradise", "ecuador sends greetings", and "jehovahs-witness.net" (okay, i lied on that last one...).

I haven't researched that yet. But I am not holding my breath. The stuff in the bible is crazy, incohesive, displays clearly a lack of understanding of natural phenomenon, etc.
My husband has us read the bible parts to prepare for the week night meeting. I objected to my 12 year old daughter reading or hearing lev chapter 15 which is, in part, about male genital infection and sex. However, because it is the bible, that somehow makes it okay.
Now I know what I missed while in Sunday school. A whole Lotta crazy. Biblical guidance for atoning for Genital discharge (were they describing an std?), having to do guilt offerings for having mold in your house...oh wait, sorry, for your house having leprocy . And as mentioned above, crazy stuff like father rape, mass extermination, etc.

Wow. The bible really is something else. I believe I am becoming athiest. Each week of bible reading pushes me further in that direction. As an older, educated adult obsessed with science, the bible now reads as unbelievable fiction to me. This is kinda scary.
Oh, and why all the dang animal offerings? Why would a bird have to die for mold in your house or a period...or sex? Sheesh.

They did the whole pets as idols talk at the International assembly on this past Friday in arlington. Pets were reduced to hobbies that should not distract from Kingdom works, and that too often people focus too much on their pets, and even idolizes them.
It was clear and ridiculous. Hateful geezers.
