  okay, i'm about to engage in a major word vomit.

  just giving you fair warning as your time may be better spent somewhere else.. so, i'm sitting on my lunch break, bawling my eyes out, and writing on this forum to people i don't know yet probably have a great deal in common with but at the same time, used to scare the daylights out of me.

  for years, i would come across this forum and 'lurk' awhile if you will, or see things on youtube.

  Hi Stephanie.

  I love reading stories like yours. I used to like the stories of brothers and sisters in the wt or awake magazines. I really thought that they were real, but now I know that maybe 50% is made up to make it sound good. Yours and others stories here are 100% real. And you guys speak up what really is in your mind and heart. Thank you for sharing them with us.

  this is what is happening in a spanish congregation in our area.

  this happened 3 weeks ago.

  this brother conducted the school and after the school was over, another elder gave the announcement: "( name of the person) is not longer a jehovah's witness".

  Same congregation, like 4 years ago, a daughter's elder was disfellowshipped. The day after the announcement the other elders called him and let him know that he was not to be in charge of a group, can't be an attendant, can't pass mics, can't offer prayers, read Sunday's watchtower... etc.

  He was doing exactly the same thing as this elder (conducting the school, providing for the family both spiritually and materially) and daughter was over age. Daughter didn't tell anyone what she did and is still unknown. This other elder was likable by the congregation. He was elder for over 5 years.

  Why the difference? Is there "new light" to it?

  Thanks TimDrake! I asked another elder about his illegal status. He told me that if he had petitioned immigration to fix it, he is ok to serve. He told me that elders have a letter from the WT saying that if he is trying to fix his situation, he can serve.

  Now as for the daughter, I asked myself: "what kind of communication existed between father and daughter?". Like I mentioned it before, for almost a year she was having porneia with the guy and other guys. Her friends knew about it. Her parents didn't know it. Is that an example for the congregation? Can he give advice to families on how to raise teenagers?

  He has been an elder for only one year and besides that, he is illegally in the country.

  There are many Spanish congregations around this area. Each congregation has 4 or 6 elders from what I know.

  This is what is happening in a Spanish congregation in our area. This happened 3 weeks ago. This brother conducted the school and after the school was over, another elder gave the announcement: "( name of the person) is not longer a Jehovah's Witness". Everyone was silent about it. After the meeting was over, everyone came to his wife to give the "condolences". She seemed devastated. One thing that I noticed was that no one came to him, it looks like no one likes him. He is just another elder butt kisser.

  Two Sundays after that, he presided the Sunday meeting. I was able to see in the brothers faces that they were not happy about it. This brother is acting like nothing is going on. His daughter is under age and she told her friends in the congregation and outside the congregation what she did. For almost a year she was having sex with a guy from another congregation. Besides that, she was escaping from home during the night to see other guys. Even during an anniversary party her parents had, some brothers saw her making out on the street in the dark with a guy. And she told her friends that she was going to wait till she was 18 to tell the elders about it.

  What do you guys think about it? Is it possible that this brother continues to serve as an elder? If not, are there articles from the WT to debunk this brother? Currently, there are 5 elders in the congregation.
