Like I have said, obviously these firms feel they can win some cases, but it is not going to be easy to win.
And not all law firms are the same - some are good, some are not so good, some are excellent, very excellent
Who knows what would have happened to those previous cases if Weitz & Luxenber had been involved in them?

There's been some resistance to the Commission in certain levels of the British government. So much so, in fact, that three of the Commission's Directors have resigned is as many years.I think you are confusing the Public Enquiry of historic child abuse in the UK with the Charity Commission investigation of the Watchtower in the UK.

Another problem associated with showing off wealth is well illustrated in the Bible account of King Hezekiah, who lived in ancient Jerusalem. On one occasion Hezekiah showed “all that was to be found in his treasures” to dignitaries from Babylon. Evidently, his great wealth impressed the visitors. However, it may also have excited their greed. After they left, God’s prophet Isaiah bravely told Hezekiah that one day all his treasure would “actually be carried to Babylon.” Nothing would be left. Those words came true! Years later the Babylonians returned and hauled off all the riches that belonged to Hezekiah’s family. (2 Kings 20:12-17; 24:12, 13). Likewise today, people who flaunt their wealth may risk losing it, or at least some of it.
Note, it was not wrong for Hezekiah to have those all those treasures and his great wealth.
Likewise, it is not wrong for God's people today to have material 'wealth and treasures' BUT
BUT, what really have the GB 2.0 done by selling the Brooklyn Bethel buildings? Have they not - at least indirectly - really 'shown-off' the material wealth and treasaures that they have built up to wordly rulers - 'to Babylon'?
Recently they have been involved in some of the highest profile and biggest ever billion dollar transactions seen in the US.
And who have they sold many of the buildings too? Why - even the son-in-law of the President-elect of the US!!
Think about it - was Hezekiah being persecuted for what he did?... or was he being punished for what he did?

Don't you think Richard that if the WT Society had done their due diligence and made it a policy to do mandatory BACKGROUND checks on these prospective elders and MS's - that those 50 elders and MS's would have never had the CHANCE or OPPORUNITY to molest and abuse children ?
I think the problem though might be moving to an over-reliance on pieces of paper, thinking it'll solve everything, but it goes far deeper than that.
Besides, look what happened only last month in Australia as reported in the Herald Sun newspaper on Thursday 8 December 2016 on page 5, with an Opinion/Editorial Piece on page 44:

Which ever way you look at it, having these sort of adverts running is not good for the WT.
I'm not particularly impressed with their website, especially particularly if it's meant to be focused on JWs - but that's not the point... I suspect, that rather than wanting people to read a website, they want people to contact them directly so they can be 'signed-up' as their client - perhaps on some kind of exclusive deal?
TBH I wonder if their homework was the recent report carried by KPBS on 12 December 2016, along with the two linked items:Also the website:

this has just been published on the government's website regarding the charity commission's investigation into wtbts in the uk.
it sounds a little like a backward step, and also like the society are playing clever legal games - as to be expected - but hopefully the information provided by people who've left and been affected by the society will help them reach an informed conclusion.

I know that many here favour mandatory reporting but the NSPC indicates some of the pitfalls of mandatory reporting and then it goes on to discuss the debate concerning this issue.
