Phizzy: He plainly made his point. Pamphlets are not magazines, so another smug claim by the JW Org bites the dust.

Most Widely Circulated Magazine In The World
by Calebs Airplane inwhich magazine is now the most widely circulated in the world?.
before responding, keep in mind that certain parameters (such as content and page count) ought to be met before any printed material intended for mass distribution can be categorized as a “magazine”.
for example, the absolute minimum range for any publication to be considered a magazine is typically around 32 to 48 pages while the highest page counts are usually around 128 to 160, with some popular women’s fashion magazines coming in quite a bit higher than that.. so with that said, which is now the world’s most widely circulated magazine?.

SWITZERLAND: Jehovah's Witnesses are silent
From Switzerland, news item on a newly published report on sexual abuse in JWs
Neue Zürcher Zeitung, Sunday 5 March 2017
Jehovah's Witnesses are silent
The Jehovah's Witnesses are said to have covered sexual abuse on young people. The Community disputes this.
A new report from the Infosekta office in Zurich deals with sexual abuse of children in Jehovah's Witnesses. The conclusion is that most cases do not become public. The reason for this is the closed system of the religious community, as well as the so-called two-witness rule, according to which, in addition to the victim, a second person must have been aware of the act. Furthermore, the internal jurisdiction of the Jehovah's Witnesses deterred their victims.

Xanthippe: I was merely asking why change.org were saying they needed 80 something signatures to get it to 500. What's the significance of 500?
That was kinda the point I was making - on change.org it appears to have no real significance apart from:
1: incentivizing people to sign the petition by displaying a numerical 'goal', and
2: presumably the more popular petitions (both in total numbers, and speed of signatures) get featured on the front page
This is in constrast to UK Government's official petition website when:
1: 10,000 signatures gets the government to respond with a statement, and
2: 100,000 signatures means it will be considered for debate in Parliament -

Xanthippe: what happens when it reaches 500 signatures?
It's a competition! Australia v America....
Australia: 431V
America: 1,100
Xanthippe: If you get 100,000 in the UK parliament will discuss
yes, IF you use the UK Government's website at https://petition.parliament.uk
The Australian Government also have a website at http://www.aph.gov.au/petitions - but this petition isn't on that?

OnTheWayOut: Catholicism is the predominate belief, Santeria has survived but is mostly blended with Catholicism. Protestants and a few others are there. Jehovah's Witnesses are there. But because the government banned open religion for so long, groups are cautious.
There's actually quite alot of JWs 'over there'
Cuba has been a featured picture onthe front page of the jw . org website:
Havana, Cuba—Preaching from house to house in Old Havana
11,258,597 - Population
96,487 - Ministers who teach the Bible
1,524 - Congregations
1-to-117 - Ratio of JWs to pop (compare: USA is 1-in-263, UK is 1-in-471) -

dropoffyourkeylee: I'm afraid we're not much better. The congregation listed in the second post is in South Andros in the BAHAMAS. Good luck getting to Cuba from there
<sigh>
You will need to ask one of your elders or ministerial servants to look it up for you when they've logged-in to jw . org.
While the vast majority of Kingdom Hall/Congregation Meeting times and places are publicly listed on jw . org - there are a few that are NOT. These other - Additional Congregation Meeting Places - can be searched for by an elder or m/s that is logged-in to jw . org AND has been given permission.
It was all explained around five years ago in the following letter:
Letter April 5, 2012 - Re: Searching for congregation meeting locations and times on jw . orgPS to body of elders:
At the next Service Meeting, please arrange for an announcement to be made to the congregation that a letter on the above-noted subject has been posted on the information board. For some time, this jw . org feature has been available only to jw . org users with the Search for Congregation Meetings role. Although it will no longer be necessary to log in to jw . org in order to search for congregation meeting information, meeting information of some congregations will not display to the public. Therefore, the Search for Congregation Meetings role has been renamed “Search for Additional Congregation Meeting Places.” Only logged-in users with the Search for Additional Congregation Meeting Places role will be able to access congregation information that is not available to the public. Only ministerial servants or elders with a jw . org account should be given this role. Any jw . org users currently assigned the Search for Congregation Meetings role have automatically been assigned the Search for Additional Congregation Meeting Places role.
