Apparently, not only do women have a smaller brain
It's hard to imagine anything more offensive....
Maybe confusing size with intelligence?
john cedars latest youtube video refers to last weekend's wt study article which some have referred to on another thread but i am truly outraged at the continuing misogynist attitude toward women.
not only did that study article say if women have a family to care for it will stop them gossiping or meddling into other people's affairs, lloyd shares on his video a talk by sam herd from when he was a c.o in 1971.

steve2:So having your hand extended forward with a big smile on your face stamps you as similar to the North Korean regime - even if you're Jesus?
haha!
It actually probably says more about this:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japan%E2%80%93North_Korea_relations
these are 2015 figures.
overall christians 2.3 billion.
roman catholics 1.2 billion.
JWs have been successful at "saving" 1/10th of 1% of the world population
And why is that a problem?
Why assume there would be more saved??
What percentage of the population do you think JWs believe where saved during the flood or at Sodom and Gomorrah? Probably even less than 1/10th of 1% of the population.
(haha! this post of mine has just popped up online now - actually posted it yesterday, but as it was apparently my 11th post of the day (and therefore over my posting-limt??) it got queued and posted around 24 hours later to just now - yep, the forum post-queuing work cool, no need to re-post posts that don't appear straight away )
i'm sure orphancrow will be able to fill in the details for us.. front page news with picture all over the canadian globe and mail newspaper today.. with major double-page spread across the whole of pages 8 and 9 in the newspaper's front section.. globe and mail, tuesday 8 august 2017.. the patient, a 70-year-old man with high-risk prostate cancer, was a jehovah’s witness.. his religion was one of the reasons he decided to undergo surgery at st. joseph’s healthcare in hamilton, home to a robot named da vinci whose steady metal hands can remove a prostate with scant risk of the blood transfusions forbidden by the man’s faith.. on a recent afternoon, the patient laid unconscious on an operating table as surgeon bobby shayegan and his team plunged a camera and three robotically controlled surgical instruments through small incisions in his abdomen.. dr. shayegan settled himself in front of a three-dimensional screen, clasped the two joysticks that controlled the tools inside his patient’s pelvis and proceeded to cut, cauterize and stitch until he freed the man’s prostate, pulling it out through one of the original incisions.. there was next to no blood.. “that was routine,” dr. shayegan said afterward, holding the plum-sized gland that he and the robot had removed together.
...in its first real ruling on a robotic surgery, the expert committee that advises ontario on which new health technologies to pay for said there was no good evidence that robot-assisted radical prostatectomy is any better than conventional open surgery when it comes to controlling cancer or preserving urinary and sexual function.. the panel said the robot’s other benefits – patients have smaller incisions, lose less blood, suffer less pain and leave the hospital sooner – were not significant enough to justify spending, on average, an extra $3,224 a case, a figure that does not include the millions that wealthy benefactors have spent buying the machines for canadian hospitals.

Globe and Mail, Tuesday 8 August 2017.
The patient, a 70-year-old man with high-risk prostate cancer, was a Jehovah’s Witness.
His religion was one of the reasons he decided to undergo surgery at St. Joseph’s Healthcare in Hamilton, home to a robot named da Vinci whose steady metal hands can remove a prostate with scant risk of the blood transfusions forbidden by the man’s faith.
On a recent afternoon, the patient laid unconscious on an operating table as surgeon Bobby Shayegan and his team plunged a camera and three robotically controlled surgical instruments through small incisions in his abdomen.
Dr. Shayegan settled himself in front of a three-dimensional screen, clasped the two joysticks that controlled the tools inside his patient’s pelvis and proceeded to cut, cauterize and stitch until he freed the man’s prostate, pulling it out through one of the original incisions.
There was next to no blood.
“That was routine,” Dr. Shayegan said afterward, holding the plum-sized gland that he and the robot had removed together. “Very routine.”
...In its first real ruling on a robotic surgery, the expert committee that advises Ontario on which new health technologies to pay for said there was no good evidence that robot-assisted radical prostatectomy is any better than conventional open surgery when it comes to controlling cancer or preserving urinary and sexual function.

the uk are tightening up their data protection laws to make it easier for individuals to get hold of the information organisations hold on them and to get it deleted.. i think paul grundy (jwfacts) went through this with wt once and found it very time consuming and difficult.. will wt now abide by the law and hand over or permanently delete the records it keeps when requested?it would mean every uk exjw could have their report card info, personal file with age, sex, baptism date, judicial information, appointment/deletion/disfellowshipping dates, letters of disassociation, letters of recommendation when you move, phone number and address permanently removed.
anyone acting for the wt (elders) who retain this information, eg your phone number in their phone or the secretary keeping your historical monthly report details, will be in violation.
failure to comply will incur a fine.. expect a letter to all boe's any time soon explaining why this does not apply to them.. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-40826062.
i came across a large cardboard box full of what looked like report cards and other bumf. it looked like records of members of his congregation. unfortunately i accidentally took it to the dump... whoops.
If that was private information you probably should have legally shredded it? rather than simply 'dump' it?

OrphanCrow: Seriously? You really think that is a fair comparison?
It's not a like-for-like - I didn't say it was.
sexism is something that builds up from small beginnings.
believing that it is ok to throw in the 'sorry, it must be your time of the month' when somebody doesn't agree with you, is just one of those 'small beginnings'.
I thought the OP's comment was interesting:
I have told my husband this morning that I've found out I'm gay
The acronym is LBGT - each letter stands for something.

Interesting then that Ana María Polo ruled in favor of the mother
Wikipedia: Caso Cerrado
In the end credits, a disclaimer is presented stating that most of the cases are dramatized. On January 4, 2009, Ana María Polo stated during an interview with the Chilean newspaper La Tercera, "Most of the cases have to be arranged and modified. It's the message that we send to the audience what really counts." She added that every case is real, however, sometimes actors are used in cases where participants in the dispute do not want to appear on the show.
