Russian Court authorizes seizure of outlawed sect children
by cha ching inhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nei6lvfl13q.
interesting development in russia... according to this article on youtube, it appears that children that are subjected to being involved in banned social or religious groups can be removed from their parents..

_Morpheus: Dark, very disingenuous to cite this case as the courts taking a child from parents over jw beliefs.
Not really, because the problem/s was as you stated - therefore, are there actually any other examples? Apart from this one?
But there is a huge diference between short-term 'ward of court' orders made for specific reasons (such as to allow certain medical treatments) with the parent able to remain in contact during that time - and with what the Russians seem to be proposing which is long-term removal of children, with no parental contact.

there's this example:
UK: Boy, 7, taken away from his parents after judge rules he has been damaged by his Jehovah's Witness mother's religious beliefsA Jehovah's Witness' seven-year-old son has been taken into care because she damaged him with her 'religious beliefs and practices', a family court judge has ruled.
Judge Clifford Bellamy concluded that the boy had suffered 'emotional harm' from his mother and decided he would be better off with foster parents.

HQ must be paying Google to get the top hits

jookbeard: what he suggested was completely contradicted and refuted.
I kinda believe my post above actually proves it.
A search for just the initials jw would appear to be a simple way for the R&F to locate the official WT website - it is the top result - without having opposiing websites, or inserted news items and tweets (which are generally anti-JW) show up in the results.

jookbeard: but who would type in just jw if they wanted a comprehensive search result
In your own words....
"A brain dead speakers from some assembly or other speak about god blessing their online profile suggesting that if they typed in their name in a certain way opposes web pages wouldn't be displayed?"
And that appears to work for the search jw
And therefore it seems to be contrary to what you said: "it doesn't work like that!"

jookbeard: it doesn't work like that!
Yes. It can.
jw
Try doing a search on google for the initials jw only
with private search results turned off
the first result is the official JW website, with six indented links under,
ALL the other results below appear to be either unrelated to WT, or pro-WT, until the approx 45th results which is JWFacts.

Are Beards becoming more acceptable due to decline in membership?
by UnshackleTheChains ini noticed a young brother with a beard being given more privelages within our hall.
when he first grew his beard, he lost his privelages.
but more and more recently he has been helping out a lot more.. the cobe is old school and a stickler for rules, but with the hall becoming more empty these days, and the need for young brothers, he seems to have relaxed on this particular watchtower/man made rule.

Gradualism for the blood doctrine?
by no-zombie inhere in australia, during the service meeting this week, the local needs part was taken up to quickly discuss a letter from the organization stating that there will no longer be a annual meeting part to discuss or remind the congregations about their blood cards.. i found this quite odd.. its not like that there is a shortage of meeting time to discuss this issue, as the society has recently been hijacking more and more local needs parts for its own messages.
and for a supposedly important doctrine, you would think that it should be mentioned more often rather than less, to keep everyone in line.. could this be a beginning of the movement away from the blood doctrine, through the process of gradualism?.

FYI around six years ago, there was a move away from renewing the documents every year to every four years
There is no longer a need to renew our Advance Decision document on a yearly basis, however, we recommend that publishers renew their document at least every four years and, of course, publishers may for various reasons need to update/renew theirs at any time.
