One of the reasons was/is this and the whole way it was handled:

i will remain anonymous for this website.

Why?
In your own words in your OP - you declared this would be both "scathing and very uncomfortable" to read.
Just because it has perhaps become 'scathing and very uncomfortable' to read sooner than you thought, doesn't mean it should be ignored.
hmm, it's taken the big gb a long while to approve the annual meeting to be uploaded to their beloved tv.jw.org site.
well.... from what i've read, it looks like they'll probably have to cut out a lot of embarrassing bits.
wonder how lett's "immorality ... i mean immortality" would look on an official society video?
looks like the wt are even reducing the video content nowadays...... no jw tv monthly broadcast for december 2017 - instead it is replaced with the 'gilead graduation part 1' programme.
issues with translation - apparently replacing the monthly broadcast with the hour long 'spiritual' part of the graduation means that the wt are able to translate it into more languages than before.. plus more.....

clarification given: "moving forward any elder, ms, or pioneer who themselves or someone under their roof enrolls in higher education, may no longer qualify for privileges in the congregation.
their qualifications will have to be reviewed by their boe.".
darkspilver: FYI, OUTLINES, translated from English to Spanish, for the current one-day 2018 Kingdom Ministry School for Elders
Now both original ENGLISH outlines and VIDEOS are available to download for the 2018 Ministry School for Elders AND Ministerial Servants.
(btw, even the Elders don't get to see/know what specific/unique stuff the Ministerial Servants are told)
there’s all this talk about combining congregations to enhance kingdom hall utilization.
the branch offices keep calling the halls half full.
are they half full or half empty?
Watch the video!
It's a 200 seater Kingdom Hall with 4 English (or same language) congregations
Each congregation has an average attendance of 120. (4 x 120 = 480)
The 4 congregations are then merged into 3 congregations
Thus each congregation will now have an average attendance of 160 in a 200-seater KH.

one of us on netflix.
this is a documentary on hasidism.
i wish one day a similar documentary will be made for watchtower.
The other Jewish film doing the rounds is Menashe.
Based around the life of Menashe Lustig, a 38-year-old Hasidic Jew and native of the Hasidic enclave New Square in Brooklyn.
Sadly his wife died, and the rabbi has said that until he remarries, he would be an unfit parent for his son.
But Lustig refuses to remarry, and so his son lives with another Hasidic family.
