Crazy statements from JWTalk

i'm sure many of you are aware of the jwtalk site, a message board which has yet to succumb to apostasy (give it time).. some of the forums there are visible to the public, and i've seen some crazy stuff.

here is a sampling:.

"satan is really trying his best to make things worst for the witnesses, knowing the 6,000 years is almost up, from eve's creation!".

Jehovah lol - your threads are still being queued, slow down, take some deep breaths, wait 24 hours untill after your last thread has appeared - then that should mean that your posting queue will have been emptied - though I think recently OrphanCrow had to wait slightly longer, maybe 30 hours?

Jehovah lol - looks like you're still posting too often and too quickly. Slow down, stop posting, and let the forum software have some breathing space between posts.

never a jw: But that would be missing a glaring point of the article. The JW population is shrinking while the general population is not.

It's probably all the 'need greaters' + families going back home haha - now they've gone, the JW ratio has normalised. Just because an area attracts 'need greaters' doesn't necessarily mean the JWs are particularly below ratio, often it's a matter of sparsely populated territories - especially once you leave Rapid City or Sioux Falls.

never a jw - sure I understand, but if you use the JW-to-population ration from 25 years ago, you still get a figure today of 3,135 JWs in SD.

never a jw: Agree, 330 is too small, but over 3,000 is too high. My bet is somewhere between 1K and 2K.

Why do you think that?

South Dakota Population = 865,454
US JW-to-Population Ratio = 263
Therefore JWs in South Dakota is expected to be around = 3,290

The article says 330, therefore most likely they've missed the last '0'.

Additionally it appears that the figure of 3,330 was actually obtained in the first place by doing the above calculation.

OrphanCrow: Are you familiar with South Dakota?

Some of the posters discussing this earlier this week apparently are actually from SD - and it seems it is a typo, with the last 0 left off by mistake, as steve2 suggests above - see:

i have the first volumes of the watchtower from the 1800's to the 1900's.. .

i will highlight vol.

2 january 15, 1892 to help the reader understand the truth regarding russell and his supposed appointment as, what the watchtower this year referred to, "he certainly was that minister" ...making vague reference to his being called "the laodicean minister" (found on his tombstone).

It has became some what notorious nowadays due to the 1930's pre-war Nazi sympathizers - and I believe one of the Nazi Youth Summer Camps was in Pennsylvania.
