Hi steve2!
My comment queried the current status of this law firm, Slater and Gordon, given the significant financial woes it experienced a couple of months ago.

Also, if you haven't already, the Sydney Morning Herald article I linked to previously, just above the video TV advert, is well worth a read.
not seen this before, or at least haven't registered it before.
maybe it's just a traditional style?.
i mean it's basically a glorified cattle trough?
Hi steve2
I think they baptised 500 or so this way at the Melbourne International in 2014 - see photos in OP
That sounds like an incredibly high number of baptisms when the trend in recent years is fewer and fewer getting baptized.
yeah, sorry about that
I believe the final count was 695 baptised in Melbourne and a total of 986 with the linked conventions over that weekend
It was an international convention with around 70,000 in attendance - it was HUGE MASSIVE - biggest attendance at the venue in Melbourne etc etc
(That seems about right percentage-wise - I understand that year London had an attendance of around 50,000 and 359 baptised - actually London had so many they continued to baptise people through the opening talks of the Saturday afternoon session
this is actually, cinematographically, a pretty good video, certainly better then most of them anyway!.

Hi wizzstick!
Seriously - go watch some decent cinema. That, actually, was pretty awful cinematographically.
Oh, I do - but my comment was meant relative to other vids which are more often than not just a moving slide show - her moving through the crowds then focusing in on individuals showed promise.
these are of early '70s vintage, i recall.
my job was to sort through thousands of these and be sure they were not "off register.".

haha!
always reminds me of the murals they have in the City of Pawnee's Town Hall... in more ways than one

Yes, I know - it's not really Pawnee's Town Hall in Indiana , it's actually Pasadena's Town Hall in California!

Hi compound complex!
Now that I think about it, didn't Paul write that he did no baptizing at all?
Watchtower 15 August 1968, pages 511 to 512
Questions From Readers: Why did the apostle Paul say, as recorded at 1 Corinthians 1:17, that Christ dispatched him “not to go baptizing”? He did baptize believers, did he not?

can't believe it - gb is currently second in the medal table, with more golds and silvers combined than even china.
given the size of the nation it's an incredible achievement and we have won in some sports where other countries typically dominate.
i can't imagine we will stay in second but i am happy to enjoy the moment.. well done to the whole of team gb!.
Heather Wheeler: (Conservative MP for South Derbyshire) - Now that's what I call winning!!! Well done Team GB & all our Commonwealth friends, now for the Trade Agreements....
