George One Time - As the website name you mentioned indicates - his name was W Glen How
It was recently discussed at all congregations during the mid-week meeting with the study of the 2014 'God's Kingdom Rules!' book.
God's Kingdom Rules, page 139
Kingdom Preachers Take Their Case to Court
In June 1950, the full Supreme Court of Canada, made up of nine justices, heard the case of Aimé Boucher. Six months later, on December 18, 1950, the Court ruled in our favor. Why? Brother Glen How, a lawyer for the Witnesses, explained that the Court agreed with the argument presented by the defense that “sedition” requires incitement to violence or insurrection against government. The tract, however, “contained no such incitements and was therefore a lawful form of free speech.” Brother How added: “I saw firsthand how Jehovah gave the victory.” (see footnote)
Footnote: Brother W. Glen How was a courageous attorney who, from 1943 to 2003, skillfully fought hundreds of legal battles for Jehovah’s Witnesses in Canada and abroad.

I don't really like to speculate, particularly on a tragic story like this. Though it has been mentioned that it is a possibility that some how the two victims where involved in the accused's apparent DF'ing, perhaps as 'witnesses' for the JC.

tor1500 - it's mentioned here and there but then it fades away.
There is the following from today (Tuesday, November 28, 2017)
Abused ex-Jehovah's Witness offers help to victims: "Taboo must be broken!"
Interestingly it highlights that the WT Bethel will enter into discussions.

scratchme1010: My thoughts are that the topic has been covered widely. However, I'd like to know if there's anything to say about the victims.
FYI
The Reclaimed Voices Foundation - which offers victims of sexual abuse in the organization of Jehovah's Witnesses a space to regain their own voice and to speak out - was launched just last week.

spacegirl443 - yes, that quote is correct.
It is from a Watchtower, and can be found on the JW's CD library
Although it is dealing primarily with children, the principle would apply even when there are no children, because the principle is 'granting the wife her freedom of worship'.
Although the article is old, I believe the principle should still stand today.
Watchtower, December 1, 1960, page 735
Questions From Readers: What Scriptural principles guide in the training of children in homes where one parent is a dedicated Christian witness of Jehovah and the other is not?
According to the Scriptures the husband and father is the head of the home. If he is a dedicated Christian witness of Jehovah it is his responsibility to see that his family receives spiritual as well as material provisions. (1 Tim. 5:8) Even if his wife is an unbeliever, he must see to it that his children receive proper Christian education and training both at home and at the Kingdom Hall, and he should do all that he can to help his wife see the truth of God’s Word. At the same time he ought to grant his wife freedom to worship God her own way, and she may at times insist on taking the children to her place of worship. Granting her freedom of worship may even mean letting her have a Christmas tree in one room of the house during that season, although the believing husband would not let other rooms of the house or its outside be decorated. By thus extending freedom of worship to his wife he shows that he loves her as he loves himself.—Eph. 5:28, 29.

Serbia: "Parents from hell sentenced the baby to die in a hospital" - Mon, Nov 27, 2017
by darkspilver inthere's been some front page coverage in serbia today (mon, nov 27, 2017).
monster parents condemned baby to death!
- alo!.
-
darkspilver
The story was splashed across the front page of a major newspaper in Serbia today.
The population of Serbia is around 7 million. The circulation of 'Alo!' is around 56,000
1-in-125 people buy a copy of 'Alo!' - which I believe is only a slightly smaller audience reach to The New York Times on a Sunday in the US.
Plus there's all the family members and work colleagues etc who will read it.
And the cover will be seen by many many more in newspaper shops and kiosks.
Often the story, isn't the actual story, but the way it is told.
The other two websites are hardly 'obscure' - they're websites of print newspapers.
