i have heard a lot of reports from kingdom halls in the area that there was less than last year, for both time slots.. we had the first time slot and we were down 50+/- compared to last year.
last year we had the lobby full of people standing and this year we had empty seats and no one standing.
we ran out of parking last year and this year we made it.. like i said i am hearing quite a few reports of this from halls in our area.however, somehow the number seem to inch up every year.
Only growth is in third world countries. I meet in a double hall, our side was standing room only, the other side had empty seats.
My hall is a very big hall of over 150 pubs, hardly anyone lives in our territory but come because the elders are friendlier. The other hall that had empty seats has extremely harsh elders and is a small congo.

How about in the bible study this week they talked about how Jesus loved kids, yet we await a future time when Jesus is going to execute kids because their parents do not read the Watchtower!

it also goes on to show how the tax exempt stays is hurting the communities..
Having served at the Farm, I can tell you that the local residents resent the Watchtower for this! That is people's biggest gripe.
a word to jehovahs witnesses: what is the basis for the authority the seven members of the governing body can claim in controlling the lives of eight million followers?
the organisation they represent has never got one useful piece of information correct in one hundred and thirty five years... so why should they be believed?.

The guy in the video who turns down the promotion does it because he knows his wife will nag him that he misses meetings. That is the situation for many of us stuck in by marriage. When I skip, I'm happy, have no anxiety, but when the wife gets home I get guilt tripped and nagged about not going.
But when I go, my wife is happy but I am miserable. No peace either way! It really sucks to be in this situation

i believe that the best way to inoculate any friend or relative of yours from becoming more deeply involved in the watchtower is exposure to recordings of the judicial process.. that goes for those already in the watchtower---if you can get them to listen.. what in your opinion are the best available online?.

been reading for a while, decided it was time to jump in.
mentally i am completely cleansed of this thing, but still have to maintain a minimal involvement for spouse and family.
I think the fact that they mentioned brainwashing in the tv broadcast, talked about not complaining and following directions at the LDC meeting, and are always going on about apostates in literature and public talks, show that they are scared!
I think they get a lot of phone calls and letters about people not believing what they say.
My family would shun me even if I faded. I am trying to plan my escape.
