sunday's lesson is a doosy, it's very good advice for all jws with professional skills and abilities to avoid offering up their time for any period over a week, lest they might get lured in to a sexual relationship with another man, woman or animal or perhaps incest?.

why does the watchtower have problems with jws who have jobs that require long stays and travel?

keeps them off welfare and provides for their familes, they are control freaks!.

There was a newspaper article years ago (major Cdn city) of a man arrested for doing someone's dog. The article said it was a JW, which at the time, I refused to believe. They had interviewed the householder. She didn't answer when he knocked, but was watching through the window, and called the police when he did it. Too bad there weren't cell phone cameras then.

For past and present elders - Questions in a JC - why so intimate?

repeatedly, people who have been in a jc are shocked by both the invasiveness and irrelevant questions asked by elders.. yet, the shepherd book doesn't seem to indicate requiring this?.

if it is something passed on from one generation of elders to the next, then why does it appear globally?.

where and how does the questioning arise?.

i don't understand why so many ex jws and faders think that the jws will continue to grow and thrive as a religion.

i still attend a meeting once a week and you can smell the death of the religion creeping up when you hear the talks, read the study wts and hear the letters from the gb.

the way the organization has changed is a sign that it reached its peak (in "healthy" membership) long ago.

I pulled the corporate docs of a Canadian congo today.

An amendment was done in September 2013 which added the following Article:

"Article XX was added to the Declaration of Incorporation to read: Any property remaining on liquidation after the discharge of any liabilities of the Congregation (the "Net Property") shall be distributed to a congregation or congregations associated with the Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses situated within THE PROVINCE nearest to the Congregation to assist in providing or maintaining a suitable place of worship, or if none, to the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society of Canada or one or more other qualified donees within the meaning of the Income Tax Act carrying on similar activities in the advancement of the religious and charitable purposes of Jehovah's Witnesses generally."
