Silent And Sweet Rebellion Going On Within JW Organization!
by lsw1961 inafter 1975, the vast majority remained as though nothing has happened.
but some left the organization.
however, there arose a third category who did not leave the organization, but brought a new view into their heart: jws are right in their core cause (gods kingdom as the solution to mankinds problems) but may or may not be right in their supplementary teachings, hence are not bothered about changes happening in this unimportant area..

Kingdom and Kingdom qualities are not cherry picking—they are absolute truth (if practised makes your life light giving only benefits to you and those around you)
This is true of most religionists and non-religionists.
This was what Dubs have always been fed - that the worst Dub is better than the best non-Dub.
Horseshit. I have zero Dub neighbours. I have asked favours from Dubs in our KH, and it was like asking a favour from the Mob. I phoned my "worldly" neighbour for a favour, and they were ready to help in 15 minutes.
ALL of my "worldly" neighbours' work ethic, family life, marital fidelity, sense of community PROVE to me that WTS teaching, that is, that worldly people are evil, and that Dubs should contribute ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to humanity, is nothing short of Satanic.

83,000 theocratic facilites?
by average joe ina bethelite was telling me that there are 83,000 theocratic facilities world wide.
he compared that to 35,000 mcdonalds and 21,000 starbucks roughly to show the size of the theocratic organization.
i am not sure where the 83,000 comes from what would he be counting?

Now if they would only put some exhaust fans in those facilities, so that when Br. What-the-Hell-Have-You-Been-Eating does his business ... -

What do you / your group think of the newest teaching (by the Borg) about the evil slave in Matthew? -

Does the W.T have financial problems are are they just rebranding?
by The Rebel init is evident that the w.t has recently re-branded itself, and has become fairly modern in its marketing techniques.
so the organisation is in that respect forward thinking, and the former way of doing things has past.. .
but this rebranding has been done by marketing experts, who maybe realise progress is progress, and that with modernisation many bethelites " even as free volunteers" are possibly no longer required.

My money is down on Splane...anyone want to give me odds? It is either Splane or someone else who is going to turn out to be 'Nehemiah'.
Splane would be the last GB to be fired.
He`s a dickwad, but he`s as close to being a Freddy as anyone will ever be.

Seems odd that the Bible never mentions Pryamids?
by dropoffyourkeylee indoesn't it seem strange that the bible never mentions the pyramids?
how could someone go to egypt at that time and not even so much as mention the huge monuments?

Not really, most are just schemes. ;)

Are Jehovah's Witnesses marriages even legit?
by Joliette ini ask this because of the circumstances behind why they get married and who they get married by.
i know people say that they are really in love, they love jehovah, etc, but are these marriages even legit.
i've talked to older jw's sister who are now widowed, some of them say that they were trapped in a marriages.

I used to believe in JW virgin marriage.
Now, I think that a couple should live together for 2 years before making that monumental decision (without pregnancy).
As for religionism's imposition - Dub's copy Christendom's (Hello FDS, and not copying Christendom) interpretation of the 3-fold cord - i.e. that the third cord means God is in your marriage.
Calling bullshit - that verse has nothing to do with God or marriage.

2 John 10
by What Now? injust looking for some rebuttals to 2 john 10, specifically when it comes to shunning family.
we essentially admitted to our families that we do not want to raise our kids as witnesses and do not believe what jehovah's witnesses teach.
predictably, they use 2 john 10 to justify shunning us, specifically the portion of the verse where it says "if anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your homes or say a greeting to him".. since we are apostates (according to the jw definition), and no longer "bring this teaching", would our family be correct in interpreting this verse to mean that they should shun us?.
