Jehovah's Witnesses ARE Christians, why do so many ex JW's deny this?
by nicolaou injehovah's witnesses accept jesus as christ, the son of god.
they try, in their own way, to live by his teachings and imitate him.
they pray, read the bible and meet together regularly for worship.. i won't minimise any of the harm and damage they cause but for the life of me, i can't see how anyone can credibly deny that they are christians.. why do so many former jws have a problem with this?

by Hecce inthis notice is not official yet and it should be confidential until released thru the proper channels.
a friend of mine told me about a huge elders meeting in southern california.
the subject was the relocation and dissolution of some congregations; it seems that this is the result of some project that has been going on for some time and is going to be implemented right now.. please let me know if this is happening all over the country?.

New, but needed to vent- thank you :-)
by Danni Jackson ini discovered your website this morning as i was trying to find some information about 'marking'.
you see a very close friend of mine was 'marked' earlier this week and as i know the ins and outs of the situation (as we are close friends) i disregarded the talk immediately as i know my friend is obviously having issues but is no way a 'danger' to anybody else's spiritual health.
basically they are dating a non-believer- hence the talk.

Marking is a very mean and devastating thing to do.... it is mental cruelty.
Shunning - lite.

The friend of Eloise Dupuis said in an interview with VAT News she wants the family and relatives of the young woman for what happened. "There is an army behind it. We're going to change things, "she said.
Interesting article with leaked info:

This could, conceivably, lead to her telling you to vacate the house. You need to prepare an escape plan, more like a survival plan. Prepare yourself mentally and financially. A simple insurance policy. One day she tells you it's over and your out. You end up sleeping in your Toyota, asking yourself, " what do I do now"?
Think I am kidding? You may have to learn the hard way. This is happening with an increasing frequency.

Faded
Is there a chance this is a list of "proof" she is going to take to the elders to out you as an apostate? That's what my guess is.
This is precisely what is going on.
You need to do an immediate 180° and uber-Dub it for the next month.
Then read this:

what are your thoughts on this quote from the elders book?
by aboveusonlysky in'in order to extend mercy, the committee must be convinced that the wrongdoer has a changed heart condition and that he has a zeal to right the wrong and is absolutely determined to avoid it in the future.'.
shepherd the flock page 91. i remember this is one of the first things that concerned me as an elder because it seemed to sound like a person is guilty until proven innocent rather than 'love believes all things', especially given the word 'convinced' appears in bold.. then in a training video one elder said something like 'unless we are convinced of repentance the shepherd the flock book says we must disfellowship'.
that was the begining of the end for me as i thought surely true christians would reason the other way round and show mercy wherever possible.. any thoughts?.

Yes, his way of judging can be summed up as follows: firmness where necessary, mercy wherever possible.—2 Peter 3:9.
http://wol.jw.org/en/wol/d/r1/lp-e/1102002034?q=mercy+possible&p=sen
These spiritually qualified men are well aware that justice, or righteousness, requires that the congregation be kept clean. At times, elders are obliged to judge cases of serious wrongdoing. When doing so, they remember that divine justice seeks to extend mercy if at all possible.

Final Rejection
by Disassociated Lady 2 ini have just returned from visiting friends and family.
when i was disassociated my parents had contact with me a few months before my dad was diagnosed with cancer.
i was reinstated 20 months after his funeral and then they disfellowshipped me 5 months later as they are convinced i had not changed my life enough to be a jw again.

Hypothetical: If WTS Reformed...?
by Cold Steel inas i said in the subject line, this is purely hypothetical.
what do you think would happen if the wtbts leaders decided to reboot some of the organization's more controversial practices.
not that they would deny their claims to be jehovah's earthly representatives, nor the key elements of their eschatology; but in administrative outlooks.

hypothetical
Everyone who has ever taken a science class knows the word "hypothesis," which means an idea, or a guess, that you are going to test through an experiment. A hypothetical is related to that. It means something based on an informed guess.
As I said in the Subject line, this is purely hypothetical.
This is not hypothetical.

As one JW uber-couple recently said, "Jehovah has put on the brakes." This is was in reference to the halting of projects, less money coming in, and Bethel lay-offs.
Were they asked why?
